Blow dry bars are an every growing trend. No cuts, no colour, just blow outs. When you think of a blow dry bar the first name that probably comes to mind is drybar. Did you know they have a line of haircare products? I am absolutely in love with the packaging and they smell incredible.

drybar Texas Tea Volumizing Shampoo ($24 US) This volumizing shampoo is designed for creating long lasting volume and fullness in fine to medium hair. The shampoo is promoted as being sulfate and paraben free but keep in mind it does contain olefin sulfonate which can be just as harsh and irritating as SLS sulfate.

INGREDIENTS: Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Panthenol, Gossypium Herbaceum (Cotton) Flower Extract, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Equisetum Hiemale Extract, Glycerin, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Hydrolyzed Wheat Starch, Polyquaternium-10, Polyquaternium-59, Citric Acid, Sodium Chloride, Silicone Quaternium-16, Undeceth-11, Undeceth-5, Butyloctanol, Butylene Glycol, PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance.

drybar Texas Tea Volumizing Conditioner ($24 US) This conditioner is all about detangling without weighing hair down so you have lots of volume. And yay, it’s silicone free.

drybar Texas Tea Volumizing Hair Spray ($26 US) I was a little confused by this product at first. It is a volumizing spray or a hair spray (fixative spray). It looks like it is indeed a volumizing spray designed to plump hair for long lasting body and volume. It can also protect hair during heat styling. It contains almond extract and aloe to promote hair health. I didn’t test this one out as the first ingredient (before water even) is alcohol and I was too worried about it drying out my hair. This of course also means it has a strong alcohol scent.

INGREDIENTS: Alcohol Denat.,Water,–VP/VA Copolymer, Isopropyl Alcohol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Polyimide-1, Panthenol, Adansonia Digitata Fruit Extract, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Seedcake Extract, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Wheat Amino Acids, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Glycerin, Ethyltrimonium Chloride Methacrylate/Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein Copolymer, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Fragrance.

drybar 100 Proof Treatment Oil ($36 US) This hair treatment oil brings dry dull hair back to life. It can be used on towel dry hair or used as a finishing product to add shine and reduce frizz. It smells amazing. It does contain silicones so I use it sparingly.

INGREDIENTS: Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Jojoba Esters, Isododecane, Dimethiconol, Phenyl Trimethicone, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Polysilicone-15, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Kaempferia Galanga Root Extract, Moringa Pterygosperma Seed Oil, Prunus Insititia Seed Oil, Hydrogenated Ethylhexyl Olivate, Citrillus Ianatus (Watemelon) Seed Oil, Isohexadecane, Hydrogenated Olive Oil Unsaponifiables, Fragrance (Parfum), Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Benzyl Benzoate, Eugenol, Linalool

drybar Hot Toddy Heat Protector ($30 US) Use this cream protectant before a blowout or use of another hot tool to protect your hair from damage. It also fights frizz and protect against split ends by sealing the ends of hair. And you guessed it… it smells so good.
