A great gift idea for the beauty lover on your list is an eyeshadow palette. I have shared many beautiful Holiday Collection Eyeshadow quads and quints this season like the ones from Dior and Lancome but for the Holiday 2014 Beauty Gift Guide | Eyeshadow Palettes we are going to take a look at larger palettes and ones with special packaging.

From neutral palettes to bold and colourful, let’s take a closer look at these palettes in no particular order.

1) Rouge Bunny Rouge Raw Garden Eye Shadow Palette in Chronos ($59 US)

This may “just” be five shades but I have included it because it is any Rouge Bunny Rouge lovers fantasy. If you haven’t tried their incredible eyeshadows it’s an absolute must and this palette of enchanted metallics is a beauty to behold. Plus the eyeshadow pans are easily removed from the stunning palette and can be replaced with your other RBR fave shades. The shades are: Champagne Pewter Highlighter – a peachy metallic champagne, Metallic Rosy Brown – a peacock pink and gold shade, Aged Bronze – an interchanging, cool olive metallic, Aubergine Gunmetal – a dark, gold-tinged eggplant-grey metallic, Midnight Blue Gunmetal – a deep, smoky blue-grey metallic.

2) Urban Decay Vice3 Palette ($70 CAD)/($60 US)

This gorgeous palette with funky neon green jewel-inlay design on the lid includes 20 all new eyeshadows from Urban Decay. The shadows have a metallic finish and are arranged in columns with neutrals on the left, jewel tones in the middle, and smoky shades on the right. Of course you don’t need to be boxed into these columns and can mix and match the shades to your hearts delight. The palette comes in a fabulous bag that you can use to store the palette or your brushes and other essentials. There is also a double ended eyeshadow brush included. The eyeshadow shades 0.03 oz each and include: Truth (pale pink-nude matte), Dragon (bright metallic green shimmer), Vanity (smoky metallic eggplant/multidimensional micro-glitter), Alien (pink-peach/golden shift), Last Sin (champagne shimmer/silver micro-glitter), Undone (pink-beige/matte-satin/tonal pearl), Freeze (metallic medium blue/multidimensional micro-glitter), Lucky (metallic bronze), Alchemy (deep fuchsia satin), Angel (light taupe/silver micro-glitter), Downfall (warm light brown matte), Heroine (deep navy blue/tonal pearl), Reign (rich brown satin), Bondage (deep, smoky burgundy/shimmer), Defy (smoky taupe satin), DTF (taupe matte/pearl), Brokedown (metallic golden brown shimmer/gold micro-glitter), Bobby Dazzle (metallic white/pale gold micro-glitter), Sonic (metallic red-copper) and Revolver (soft black satin/iridescent pearl).

3) BareMinerals Ready Convertible Eyeshadow Palette ($39 US/value of $90)

Four different eyeshadow trios that can be popped out of their larger eyeshadow palette home into a smaller travel compact. Seriously, how cool is that? Shadows include: BASE Chart Topper (pewter silk) + Hard to Get (ballet slipper pink) + Pizzazz (golden ivory) + Shiver (iced lilac). CREASE Fantasy (rosy mauve) + Elixir (luxe lilac) + Bewilder (sparkling sand) + Admire (gilded moss). LINER Stiletto (plum chocolate) + Mystify (antique lavender) + Connoisseur (golden copper) + Couture (glimmering clove). Apologies my pic is a little messy. My beautiful Shiver shadow arrived broken.

4) Smashbox Full Exposure Palette ($49 US)

This neutral lovers dream features 14 neutral shades with 7 shimmers on top and 7 mattes on the bottom. There is a sample sized Full Exposure Mascara and dual ended shadow brush included. The equal balance of shimmers to mattes in such a beautiful natural colour palette make this a holiday gift that will please anyone. Colours are: Chocolate Brown with Golden Pearl, Deep Golden Brown with Gold Pearl, Soft Gold with Gold and Silver Pearl, Light Tan with Gold and Silver Pearl, Golden Wheat with Gold Pearl, Midtone Slate with Silver Pearl, Rich Grey with Multicolor and Silver Pearl, Matte Warm Chocolate Brown, Matte Midtone Brown, Soft Matte Midtone Tan, Creamy Matte Beige, Soft Light Taupe, Ashy Dark Brown, Suede Black.

5) CLINIQUE A Black Honey Affair ($40 CAD/$36 US)

A range of eight neutral shades with some kicks of purple makes this eyeshadow palette a versatile and flattering gift for all. The shadows are smooth, pigmented, and apply and coordinate beautifully. Shades are: Sugar Cane, Hazy, Black Honey, Lucky Penny, Morning Java Quad, Purple Pumps, Lavender Out Loud, Graphite. Check out the A Black Honey Affair Palette Review.

6) Lise Watier Palette Aurora Eyeshadows ($43 CAD)

This 6 shade eyeshadow palette has the creme-powder eyeshadow formula from Lise Watier that I love. The formula is rich, smooth, and pigmented and the warmth of your skin creates and even more opaque finish. There is a range of semi-matte to iridescent finishes in the palette. The beautiful packaging really makes this palette gift worthy. Shades are: Ivory Rose, Pink-Mauve, Violet, Taupe, Gold, Midnight Blue. You can read my full Lise Watier Aurora Collection Review.
