Hands down, this is the best day we can ever remember because Dashboard Confessional has just announced plans to hit the road!
The alt-rock band, who made a name for themselves with hits like “Stolen,” “Vindicated,” and “Screaming Infidelities,” revealed on Tuesday (Dec. 6) that they’ll be embarking on a U.S. tour shortly after the new year.
According to EW, the two-month tour is set to kick off in January in Buffalo, NY. From there, Dashboard Confessional will hit up a slew of major cities including Philadelphia, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, and New Orleans, before capping things off with a final show at The Underground in Charlotte, NC on Feb. 17.
2017 seems poised to be an exciting year for fans who have followed the band since Dashboard burst onto the scene in 2000 with The Swiss Army Romance.
While the band hasn’t announced plans to release a new album just yet, frontman Chris Carrabba revealed in an interview with EW back in May of 2016 that a new record was on the way.
Until then, we’ll just have to settle for listening to the band’s latest song, “May,” and perhaps scoring a ticket to their upcoming tour!
