Could Peter, Lois, Meg, Chris, Brian, and diabolical baby Stewie be heading to the big screen?
Seth MacFarlane gave Family Guy fans quite the holiday surprise earlier this week when he hinted that a movie about the popular animated characters could happen.
RT @GingeThink: @SethMacFarlane when are you going to stop fannying around and actually do a Family Guy movie? ?? // Soon. Soon.

When a fan asked MacFarlane on Twitter when he was going to “stop fannying around and actually do a Family Guy movie,” the series creator responded, “Soon. Soon.”
While no official dates have been announced, an extended Family Guy adventure seems like a safe bet. Back in 2011, The Hollywood Reporter noted that there’s a deal in place for MacFarlane and series co-producer Ricky Blitt to write a film, but the issue has always been MacFarlane’s hectic schedule.
During a 2014 Comic-Con panel, Family Guy producer Peter Shin revealed that MacFarlane had started working on a Family Guy film but had to put the movie on hold because of his commitments to Ted 2.
“Seth talked about it, I don’t know how much info I can give you. We kind of started some pre-work on it a couple of years back, but I think it’s on hold right now because Seth is filming Ted 2. I think maybe in the future it might happen,” Shin said.
Family Guy airs Sunday nights at 9/8c on Fox.
