Update: Brandon Keith Adams is currently serving his second stint in the state prison system. Adams was convicted of five theft/drug related charges in September 2013 and spent the next 12 months in prison. After his release, he was almost immediately arrested again for possession of a controlled substance and sentenced to two years in Limestone Community Corrections. Adams has no parole hearing scheduled and will end his sentence on March 7, 2017.

From 2013:

Sometimes it’s the small things in life that add up; it seems that’s the case with Brandon Keith Adams. After a few pills washed down with some alcohol, Adams decided to break into a car parked on Piney Chapel Road near where he lives. Unfortunately for the 28 year old, an alert neighbor spotted Adams and called police, who arrived as Adams walked away from the scene of the would be crime. After a brief foot chase, Athens Police arrested Adams in the downtown area, charging him with attempted breaking and entering, illegal possession of a controlled substance, and public intoxication.

Adams had similar luck in June 2012 when he decided to steal a Nikon camera from a neighbor. He might have gotten away with it, but when his then-girlfriend found the stolen merchandise, she asked the down on his luck Adams where the camera had come from. A fight ensued, police were called, and Adams racked up not only a domestic violence charge, but one of theft as well.

Perhaps Brandon Adams should consider his ill-fated attempts at crime and turn over a new leaf?
