Join us for the final Sundown concert of the year!

Alela Diane & Lost Lander

July 31 | 5:30-8:00 PM | FREE for all

Ecotrust, 721 NW 9th Avenue

Presented by Food Front Cooperative Grocery

Alela Diane’s performance is built around her staggering voice and simple guitar arrangements. Alela’s current offerings combine poetic lyrics set to harmonies and melodies that create a wholly unique piece of self-expression. Nowhere is this palette so rich as in her live shows, an intimate treat for audiences lucky enough to catch her this year. Join us as Alela sings the final performance of our 2014 Sundown Concert series.
Lost Lander’s sound is that of mechanized complexity working in perfect tandem with cutthroat human honesty. There are dense clusters of guitars and heart-stoppingly pretty keyboards; there are intricate layers of human vocals and fat, squelchy bass notes; there’s percussion that chitters with all the complexity and grandeur of a forest of insects.

This is the final Sundown concert of the year – don’t miss it!

Evening Host Food Front Cooperative Grocery: In 1972 a group of neighbors in Northwest Portland joined together to sell groceries out of a little store on 23rd Avenue. Their mission was to provide their community with a place to buy good quality groceries that couldn’t be found in regular supermarkets. Even though this first grocery store was small, the impact of people coming together to provide for themselves and their community was immense. Over the years the store has moved a few times, is now owned by over 10,000 people, and has opened a 2nd location in Hillsdale. Food Front’s commitment to providing the finest quality foods grown and produced locally for our community is stronger than ever.
