Independently owned brewpub with one-of-a-kind interior opens to the public 12/5 at 4 p.m.

Beaverton, Ore. – December 4, 2014 – Brannon’s Pub & Brewery, Beaverton’s new and highly anticipated locally owned brewpub, opens to the public for the first time this Friday, December 5th at 4 p.m. with happy hour service. Brannon’s is located in the Cedar Hills and Three Creeks district at 3800 SW Cedar Hills Boulevard.

“After much hard work, we’re pleased to introduce Brannon’s Pub & Brewery to the public,” said owner and operator Kevin Brannon. “Our vision for Brannon’s is simple: It’s all about enjoying delicious, hand-crafted, locally sourced food and beer in a one-of-a-kind environment that offers something for everyone. We’re looking forward to sharing that vision with the beer-loving citizens of Beaverton and beyond.”

Earlier this week, Brannon unveiled the artfully crafted brewpub to a group of more than 200 friends and family at a pre-opening celebration and benefit for regional nonprofit Albertina Kerr. The event raised $5,000 for Albertina Kerr, as guests sampled Brannon’s nine styles of craft beer created on-site by head brewer Devin Benware and previewed items from head chef Sean Beanblossom’s delicious, locally sourced menu.

Brannon’s unique interior includes a striking, circular bar with 24 taps; a ceiling decorated with large, metallic gears; and a beautiful chandelier built from of salvaged metal-halide lamps by local artisan Josh Kinsey of J.W. Kinsey’s Artifice. These and other custom-fabricated metallic features reflect Brannon’s “fire, steam, craftsmanship” theme, including curved tables encircling the bar that mimic the gears on the ceiling above. There are also personalized in-table screens throughout the restaurant, a classic game room, and a flexible banquet and event rental space, making Brannon’s the place in Beaverton and Southwest Portland for pairing brews and great, locally sourced fare with sports and all sorts of other entertainment.

The brewery’s initial offerings include nine craft beers: Cavorite Golden Ale, Butteridge ESB, Vernepator NW Pale Ale, Heliograph IPA, Benzonator Black IPA, Deputation Imperial Red Ale, Pantechnicon Brown Porter, Thunderbuss Oatmeal Stout and Aerostat Saison. The brews’ unique names take inspiration from 19th century mechanical devices, and the diverse selection serves up something for beer enthusiasts of all types. Brannon’s also offers a full bar and rotating guest taps.

Highlights of the restaurant’s large, open kitchen include a Neapolitan-style pizza oven where Brannon’s signature stone hearth pizzas are cooked before patrons’ eyes, and vertical rotisseries turning out Brannon’s delicious spit roasted meat and fowl. Brannon’s hand-crafted menu emphasizes local ingredients, and offers something for everyone, including vegetarian and vegan options.

The nearly 10,000 square foot establishment is owned and operated by Oregon native Kevin Brannon, who was an early player in the U.S. micro brewing scene. From 1991 to 1999, Brannon was founder, president and CEO of Fredrick Brewing Company in Fredrick, Maryland, which he helped grow into one of the largest independently owned craft breweries in the mid-Atlantic region. After returning to the Portland area in 2001 to practice law closer to home, he founded BrannonLaw PC, a law firm focused on business transitions, mergers and acquisitions, and business financing. With this new venture, Brannon is refocusing on his true passion of craft brewing, while also using his business experience.

Brannon’s has the capacity to seat 200 guests and is located near the south end of Cedar Hills Boulevard, conveniently located near the Beaverton Round, the new home of Beaverton City Hall, and the Beaverton Central Max station.
