The ‘Fashion Rules’ Exhibition (http://www.hrp.org.uk/KensingtonPalace/stories/palacehighlights/FashionRules/) at Kensington Palace is not only right next door to Pavilion Business Member’s club in Kensington High Street but a fantastic way to spend an afternoon in Kensington. This is the newest exhibition at Kensington Palace where you will get the chance to look through the exquisite and elegant wardrobes of The Queen, Princess Diana and Princess Margaret.

You will not believe how royal style has changed since the 1950s if you compare it to today’s mix of high street styles and haute couture that is the epitome of how Kate Middleton dresses and the ‘new’ royal style. These three women inspired a generation and it is fascinating to see how their style evolved. Whether you are using Pavilion as an occasional base in London or as your permanent private office, Pavilion is close to the best cultural places in central London and we have tried to create the perfect space for like-minded people to work, network and play. From our Penthouse offices you can look over Kensington Palace Gardens which is a fantastic view from your own private office suite or one man office. All office suites benefit from having their own complimentary meeting rooms and private lounge space. Each office comes equipped with its own printer, mini fridge, small safe and individual air-conditioning controls as well as electronically lockable glass doors.

Fashion Rules at Kensington Palace is a fascinating display of how these three royal women adopted fashion trends but ensured they stayed within the confined ‘rules’ of what was appropriate for royals. From daring short skirts to sparkling embellishments and shoulder pads, these royal women were not afraid of showing of their individual styles.

Laid out over five rooms, the exhibition features 21 couture dresses coupled with film and photography of each royal from each period. Some of the highlights include a never-before-displayed Dior gown worn by Princess Margaret for The Queen’s Silver Jubilee celebrations and a blue and purple dress by Jacques Azagury previously worn by Princess Diana.

When you have experienced the Fashion Rules exhibition go for a walk in the beautiful and tranquil palace gardens ( http://www.hrp.org.uk/KensingtonPalace/stories/sunkengardens#sthash.X3XDFJTn.dpuf)

The Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace Gardens was planted in 1908 and have over the years transformed into a tranquil ornamental garden celebrating 18th century gardening with an ornamental pond, fountains and terraced garden. The vibrant colours coupled with exotic planting makes the garden a beautiful place to walk around with a friend or a Pavilion colleague. During the summer months geraniums, cannas, begonias and many more flowers are in full bloom. Kensington Gardens and adjacent Hyde Park is a great place to go for inspiration and to be surrounded by beautiful fashion. For most of the 18th century the Kensington gardens were actually closed to the public except on Saturdays and only to the ‘respectably dressed’ so this part of London has always had a close connection to being fashionable and dressing up.

Entrance to Fashion Rules is included in your Kensington Palace admission ticket.
