“There’s help for those suffering from nerve pain caused by stress… and some call this “Idiopathic Nerve Pain”.

Nerve Pain and Stress

If a person has tingling, numbness, and feeling of pins, needles, pain, and loss of control of their legs, it just might be connected to conscious or unconscious stress. And in today’s world where we don’t know what’s about to happen with terrorists, killings, riots, wars, and more… EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE has a huge amount of stress going on and stress does cause disease, pain, discomfort, anxiety, rage and so much more.

Anxiety causes leg cramps, in fact there was a man who had numbness and tingling in his legs, and his pain and numbness would make him fall down… and it was all directly related to stress. – True Story!

Stress Does Cause Nerve Pain

Our nerves become hyper sensitive and start firing without any cause and this creates pain, numbness, cramps, and tingling. After a while we become over aware of our body, and this leads to walking gate changes, stiffness, and even brings about the point of collapse.

And many people start to hyperventilate and this hyperventilation moves blood flow from the legs to other parts of the body… thus more pain, more tingling, more numbness, more cramps, and other sensations are created.

Dr. John Sarno in his book “Healing Back Pain” talks about the fact that pain is caused by a lack of oxygen to the muscles. Muscles cramp up and clamp down on nerves and blood supply thus creating numb, tingling, weakness, and eventually collapse. This happens in our lower back, our legs, our shoulders, and just about any area of the body including the sciatic nerve area causing leg pain and collapse.

Tension Myositis Syndrome

This whole process is called “Tension Myositis Syndrome” and it’s very real. And “Tension Myositis Syndrome” is also connected to depression, anxiety, anger, and suppressed rage. And when people are under lots of stress, especially when they’re not in control of their life… pain is created.

Harvard Medical School talks about the fact that: “Anxiety is a reaction to stress that has both psychological and physical features. The feeling is thought to arise in the amygdala, a brain region that governs many intense emotional responses. As neurotransmitters carry the impulse to the sympathetic nervous system, heart and breathing rates increase, muscles tense, and blood flow is diverted from the abdominal organs to the brain.”

Admit to Having Stress

Most people are not willing to admit they have stress, and try to put emphasis on the biological part of the process… but in the long run that will not make the pain, tingling, and numbness go away.

So what can we do to make this pain go away?

First we have to admit we have stress… we can’t do anything about the challenge if we don’t admit we have stress. Second we have a five fold process that’s related to physical aspects, mental aspects, and spiritual aspects.

The Five Fold Process:

Let the Anger Out

Let the anger out… to do some anger release to stop all the tension and move that anger out of the body and find peace. By yelling in the car at night, throwing rocks at the fence, or many other safe and effective ways. And there are great anger release workshops all over the country, just google “Find Anger Release Workshops” and lots of them will come up.

Visualize

See in your minds eye the other person as a small helpless infant, concentrate on that image for 10 to 15 minutes… and remember everyone is only doing what they think they need to do to protect themselves.

Forgive

Forgive the other person, yourself, the institution, and the situation, some challenges are unavoidable, and there were great lessons to be learned from this challenge that made us stronger… and a lack of forgiveness only allows the wound to fester and linger.

Now connect with your inner child, the child within may be angry, so hold that small child in your minds eye… and tell the child you will always be there for him. Many times a lack of security keeps us locked in anger and pain.

Go inside and contemplate compassion for the other person… find love and peace within, and in your mind’s eye share that with the other person.

Meditate on love, when we meditate on love challenges sooner or later disappear.

Chant the Name of God

Also silently chant the name of God over and over again, a personal name like Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, and others. The name “God” is too impersonal. Chanting the name of God is very healing, soothing, and has amazing powerful… whenever the mind is not busy chant the name of God.

Meditation

Meditation changes the body, this is called the study of epigenics. The science of epigenics show that genes actually change when we do meditation… good genes are turn on and bad genes are turn off.

Start meditating using either TM meditation… go to www.tm.org and find a TM teacher near you or Vipassana Meditation.

TM Meditation is very powerful process and psychologists are use TM Meditation for those coming back from war… it’s about the only thing that works for PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).

And also take a FREE 10 Day Vipassana Meditation Retreat… and the food and lodging is also FREE.

During this Vipassana Meditation retreat, on about the 4th of 5th day there will be a powerful breakthrough that will change life forever. And these retreats are put on by people who have taken the retreats themselves and know how powerful they can be. Vipassana Meditation retreats are given all over the world.

This three fold healing process will change everything… stress will start to melt away and all the pain, tingling, numbness, and more will disappear.
