Situated along Pattaya Centre Beach, Holiday Inn Pattaya was our choice of accommodation for our weekend escapade. Like its entire chain globally, this Holiday Inn did not disappoint – convenient location, free shuttle rides, excellent service, suite of amenities, good spread of buffets and the top concern for most, affordability. Especially for families, Holiday Inn Pattaya is the place for you.
Just 1.5 hours away from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport, there are multiple ways you can get to Holiday Inn Pattaya. Depending on your budget and family size, you can take the bus – a one-way ride that costs about 200 Baht per person, the taxi which will cost you about 1,500 Baht including expressway charges, or the hotel transfer – a list of available transport can be found here. As we arrived in Bangkok late at night, we opted for the hotel transfer, which put us back at 3,100 Baht for a round trip. The driver was very welcoming and went the extra mile of introducing the sights along the way.
For the establishment in Pattaya, there are two towers that make up the Holiday Inn compound: Bay Tower comprising of 367 rooms and the newly built Executive Tower with 200 rooms. Available in 10 different categories in total, you can pick from the Deluxe, Ocean View, Executive Club, Family Suite, etc. Like all hotels, they are fully equipped with all the amenities ideal for a relaxing vacation and round the clock service but here’s three aspects that stood out the most to us during our stay.
It Puts Family First
Funfact: Pattaya’s waters used to be filled with dolphins and as such, it has now become an icon for the city.
All Family Suites at Holiday Inn Pattaya are located at the Bay Tower. At 86 sq meter per suite, each family suite comes with your own king bed Pattaya View room, which is interconnected but separate from your kids’ room that comes with Moby Dick themed beds, PlayStation 4, double lock doors for safety and a dolphin soft toy for your kids to take home. The kid’s bathroom is also specially designed to ensure the safety and delight of your children. What’s there not to enjoy with for your whole family?
What takes the cake is that families can benefit from the Kids Stay and Eat Free program, where children aged 12 and below will enjoy a complimentary stay! On top of that, all kids will be given a Kids Welcome Pack when you check in, which includes a travel journal containing various activities they may enjoy with you at your stay at Holiday Inn Pattaya.
There are 2 kids club set up within the hotel, with activities specially catered to suit the different age groups and interests. The Bay Tower’s kids club is catered for kids 4-7 years old, while the Executive Tower’s kids club is more suited for children aged 6-12 years. It will be no surprise if your kids are kept busy in there for hours. The caretakers that run the club are exceptionally friendly, so you can be sure to leave your children in their trusted hands should you decide to go for a massage or spa session. The kids club is free of charge, though certain activities come at a small fee, for example a special activity of the month like cupcake decoration or Thai costume dress up, etc.
If that has already captivated you, there’s more. Not only do kids under 12 enjoy a free stay, they dine free at all four restaurants in the hotel under the Kids Stay and Eat Free program as well! Remember to check out their new kids menu, featuring tasty and nutritious meals in partnership with Nutrition Australia. All the dishes under the new kids menu are specially prepared with a variety of fresh wholesome ingredients and have less added salt, sugar and fat.
Ranging from oven-baked pizzas to seafood buffet nights on Saturdays, your family’s in for a feast! Some of the restaurants come with a kid’s corner too, where you will find an abundance of colouring sheets and materials.
Saturday Seafood
Every Saturday, East Coast Kitchen invites you to enjoy an International dinner buffet featuring their seafood BBQ selection serving prawns, crab, rock lobster, cockles, mussels, squid and much more. This buffet takes place every Saturday from 6PM – 10PM, priced at THB 999 net/person, kids 12 years old and below eat free.
Comfort & Service Are Top Priority
Earthy tones and a splash of blue form the colour scheme of the hotel. Together with crisp white sheets, fluffy pillows and comfy couches, this relaxing seaside atmosphere makes it hard to leave the room.
The on-suite bathrooms are exceptionally spacious and for the lucky ones, you can be treated to the endless sea view as you soak in your warm and soothing bubble bath. Should anything in your room malfunction, the round-the-clock service personnel will get it fixed in no time. To top it off, they will conduct regular follow-ups till they are certain that you are thoroughly satisfied.
For a relaxing afternoon, Tea Tree Spa by Holiday Inn Pattaya would be your answer. Holiday Inn’s very own spa establishment, it is known for its Himalayan hot stone massage. Depending on the treatment, you could be lying in their luxurious private spa rooms or here on the outdoor mattress with the sea breeze in your hair.
Alternatively, you can bask under the sun at 1 of the hotel’s 4 swimming pools. Specially filled with sea salt, the pools are chlorine free so that all guests need not worry about damaging their hair with too many swims. 2 of the 4 pools are infinity pools that give guests the impression of their pool being joined to the sea. Lining the pools are also numerous deck chairs, the perfect place to get your tan.
The Location Is Extremely Central
Due to Holiday Inn Pattaya’s strategic location, it is extremely convenient to get around Pattaya, be it the attractions or shopping. Majority of the sights are less than a 20 minute shuttle service away, either north or south of the hotel. Daily shuttle services are provided at regular intervals, free of charge.
