This Labor Day weekend The Pocono Garlic Festival will be taking place.  Since we are always at our place there we decided to make a trip to check it out. We have never been before.

* Disclosure: Party of 5 was provided complimentary tickets in order to facilitate a review. As always all opinions are my own. *

This year is the 20th anniversary of the event, known as " the stinkiest festival. "

The  festival  is  held  on  the  grounds  of  Shawnee  Mountain  Ski  Area  and  gates   open  daily  at  10:00  a.m.  until  6:00  p.m.

Ticket sales are as follows

Advance  Two  Day  Pass  $13  /  $7.50  One  Day

Adult  General  Admission  at  gate  $  10.00
Children  (ages  5-‐12)  at  gate  $  7.50  (under  4  free)

Since   it’s   inception   in   1994,   behind   Saint   Luke’s   Church   of   Stroudsburg,   the   event   grew   like   the   bulbous   culinary  delight  that  it  celebrated.  Still  hosted  by  the  original  four  farmers  who  wanted  to  share  their  passion   of  the  garlic  harvest,  the  group  has  now  paved  a  way  for  garlic  enthusiasts  of  all  kinds  to  indulge  their  garlic   fantasies.    Many  imaginative  culinary  garlic  dishes  have  been  developed  through  the  festival  over  the  years   that  have  became  a  favorite  to  returning  festival  goers,  including  garlic  ice  cream,  garlic  shaved  ice,  on  site   freshly  prepared  garlic  whole  roasted  pig,  garlic  crepes,  roasted  garlic  cheese  pierogies,  garlic  pickles  ,  garlic   crab  cakes  and  even  garlic  chocolate  chip  cookies.

Since we have never been to The Garlic Festival before do you have any tips or secret insider info for us?
