Good Sunday morning all!  I hope everyone has had a good week and is enjoying a relaxing (crafty) Sunday!  It's my Mom's birthday today but I can't share her card as I have used some of my second release dies for it!  However,  I'm happy to share today's card as it shows yet another way to use your Classic Rose die set!  Working from the back, I used the Quilted Flower embossing folder and inked the negative side with Aqua Adirondack ink to letterpress my coconut white card.  Once I got it inked evenly, I lightly spritzed it with water to reactivate the ink a bit, then ran my white card through.  The ink transferred to the floor of the design giving it a soft aqua hue.  For the focal element, I used the Floral Lace Background and stamped it on Aqua card using a Clear Perfect Medium pad.  I heat embossed the image with white detail powder.  I matted it with a thin white and black mat and black seam binding around the opposite corners.  I added foam to the back for dimension before attaching it to my letterpressed background piece.  For my sentiment frame, I used the Ribbons and Swags stamp in black, cut it out with Vintage Labels seven and inked through it with Aqua ink.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out vertically with a smaller Labels Seven die.  I inked it as well with aqua before removing it.  I tied a messy bow out of black seam binding and added it to the lower corner.  Using the Classic Rose die, I cut several of various sizes and inked the edges with aqua ink then snipped into them at each of the inward scallop areas.  Using a flower shaping tool, I shaped each of the petals to give them a rounded appearance before stacking them up and offsetting them.  This gives a Camellia appearance to the flowers when you leave them open like this.  I added a small Dazzler to the centre of the largest one and used flatback pearls in the middle of the four smaller flowers.  I seated the large flower on my bow with some Bakers Twine.  I made some matching stick pins by gluing my beads to the Creative Expressions blank pins with Glossy Accents and allowing them to dry well.  I finished the card with a pierced white mat, a thin black mat and a final white mat layer.  Finished dimensions are 7" x 8 1/2" in size.

A quick message before I get to the Sunday Comment Game winners.  I am part of the Creative Expressions team and only use their products exclusively.  I do not endorse other companies products and for that reason,  find it difficult to have comments left on the blog suggesting them to others to buy.  I ask that you please understand and respect the fact that I may have to delete those comments from time to time as I would not want others to think that I am endorsing products other than the ones that I personally use.  I haven't a problem with anyone that wants to leave a comment suggesting any of the Creative Expressions products.  I am also more than happy to answer any questions that I may have missed in a blog post if you email me directly.
