The Program Manager is responsible for planning, scheduling and controlling the activities of complex business projects spanning multiple organizations to ensure that project deliverables are provided on time, within budget and in accordance to specification. Program Managers are responsible for building and maintaining productive working relationships between all Major Accounts organizations with various levels of associates and constituencies, including Group IT, Legal, Finance. Program Managers are responsible for executing project procedures that support MAS/BES project management standards while ensuring delivery of the MAS business goals.

Typically manages the integration and/or development and delivery of very large and complex deliverables directly to the Major Accounts enterprise. This position provides the primary interface between the Marketing, Finance, Sales Operations, all BES entities, IT and Field Management organizations and is accountable for managing the overall "Program" or collection of Projects. The Program Manager is responsible for monitoring the performance of the Project Team and its Project Managers. He/she will engage the manager of a Project Team member should a performance challenge be encountered. All cross-functional Project and Product Managers will be aligned to the Program Manager in a matrixed-management structure during the engagement, for the purpose of achieving team based goals. The Program Manager acts as the primary contact for the Program to the Major Accounts enterprise and senior management.

The Program Manager must manage and provide communication to all organizations; including overall project milestones, risk, scope and expectations, project integration, budget and staffing. Additional responsibilities include monitoring performance of project team resources with respect to their assigned project activities. Responsibilities will also include contact to clients regarding pilot activities, feedback, and follow up on ADPs ability to meet success criteria of the pilot process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Follows Program Management disciplines in the following areas: Scope Management, Schedule Management, Cost Management, Issue Management, Risk Management, Quality Management, Human Resource Management, Communication Management and Contract Management.

2. Establishes, manages and publishes a comprehensive overall project plan, including the development schedule, resource requirements and integration efforts of third party products.

3. Establishes project structure and staffing plans, and participates in staffing process, which may include selection of personnel from third party vendors.

4. The Program Manager is ultimately responsible for obtaining approvals on Program scope changes, escalating critical path issues and resolving team resource conflicts.

5. Motivates and directs the project team; sets goals, objectives and priorities; assigns and reviews project tasks and performance on a regular basis, benchmarking against key milestone deliverables. May be asked to provide input into the performance reviews of team members. Approves additions and deletions to staff over the life of the project.

6. The Program Manager is ultimately responsible for obtaining approvals on Program scope changes, escalating critical path issues and resolving team resource conflicts.

7. The Program Manager establishes comprehensive cross functional written and verbal communications evaluating Program tasks, milestones, dependencies, issues and escalations. This includes program meetings, minutes, executive briefings and issue management tracking. Collaborates with cross functional Product and Project Managers on all Program management deliverables.

8. Acts as primary interface with the project sponsor(s) as well as the Product Manager. Ensures quality reviews are held with the project team and obtains sign off on status and requirements.

9. Acts as primary interface to subcontractors supplying either product or service.

10. Ensures that the methodology, processes and tools are consistently used as dictated through Program Management Office (PMO).

11. Accountable for meeting project schedule and results, client satisfaction and the quality of the deliverables.

12. Responsible for determining success criteria of overall project. This includes gathering information of client feedback, project team feedback and senior management direction.

13. Manages the overall program budget. Coordinates requests for incremental funding if deemed necessary.

SKILL / COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

1. Demonstrated success in managing multi-line product projects. Experience in leading and directing multiple Project Managers across the Major Accounts enterprise.

2. Proven track record of maintaining effective Project Team relationships in a highly matrixed environment.

3. Must possess a proven ability to work effectively with an aggressive, demanding client and ADP project teams. Must be able to work well under pressure and have a high tolerance for stress.

4. Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills for managing multiple, diverse and conflicting projects.

5. Must possess excellent communication, presentation, facilitation and team leadership skills.

6. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with executive level managers in a project-oriented setting where project risk is substantial and communication requirements are highly complex.

7. Demonstrated ability to build effective teams in a project-oriented setting where the team is large, geographically dispersed, and may have conflicting priorities and/or goals.

8. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain highly complex, leveled and balanced Project Plans using MicroSoft Project, or other comparable Project Management tools.

9. Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate project risks in order to successfully meet project objectives.

10. Experience in developing a world class PMO organization is highly desireable.

Qualifications Required:

Education:
- Bachelors degree required preferably in Business Administration, HR or Information Systems.
- Masters degree highly preferred
- PMP or equivalentProject Management certification highly preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma certification preferred; green belt level at a minimum
Qualifications:
- Experience in managing project teams of more than 20 associates across multiple functions in a company.
- Experience in mentoring and coaching multiple Project Managers.
- Must have 7 plus years of proven Project Management experience across a large enterprise environment.
- Experiencing building an establishing a PMO in a large complex environment is critical
- Change Management experience will be critical in this role.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of MAS service, implementation, technical, training, financial and sales organizational operations would be a plus.
- Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills for managing multiple, diverse and conflicting projects
- Must possess excellent communication, presentation, facilitation and team leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with executive level managers in a project-oriented setting where project risk is substantial and communication requirements are highly complex.
- New and Large complex project experience that include integration across the Major Accounts enterprise.
- These programs may be new business development opportunities in Major Accounts to aid in revenue generation, sales growth,or productivity enhancements.
