Zillow Group has signed up real estate franchisors Realogy and Keller Williams and a slew of additional multiple listing services to send their listings directly to Zillow and Trulia, marking a leap forward for Zillow Group as it prepares for next month’s expiration of the firm’s agreement with listing syndication platform ListHub. Realogy owns brands including Century 21 Real Estate, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, Coldwell Banker, ERA, Sotheby’s International Realty and NRT LLC, the largest owner of residential real estate brokerages in the U.S. Realogy says its franchise system has more than 251,300 sales associates doing business in 104 countries and territories in the world. Keller Williams claims 110,000 sales associates in nearly 700 market centers across the globe. In addition to inking agreements with Realogy and Keller Williams, Zillow Group says it struck deals with 17 MLSs in the last week, including one with the California Regional MLS, the largest MLS in the country. “It is imperative that our brokers’ choices in delivering data to the Zillow Group remain intact,” said Art Carter, CEO of CRMLS, in a statement. “CRMLS and the Zillow Group have taken the initiative to ensure that data will continue to be delivered on our subscribers’ behalf.” The 17 MLSs announced today are: Alaska MLS in Anchorage, Alaska California Regional Multiple Listing Service Inc. in Los Angeles, California Golden Isles Association of Realtors in Brunswick, Georgia Greater Lansing Association of Realtors in Greater Lansing, Michigan Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors in Las Vegas, Nevada Gulf Coast MLS in Mobile, Alabama MIBOR Service Corporation in Indianapolis, Indiana Middle Georgia MLS in Macon, Georgia North Central Mississippi Realtors in Oxford, Mississippi North Carolina Mountains MLS in Fletcher, North Carolina Northern New England Real Estate Network in Concord, New Hampshire Northwest Mississippi Association of Realtors in Nesbit, Mississippi Russellville BOR in Russellville, Arkansas Santa Fe Association of Realtors Inc. in Santa Fe, New Mexico South Central Board of Realtors in Rolla, Montana Tillamook County MLS in Tillamook, Oregon Western Arizona Realtors Data Exchange in Lake Havasu City, Arizona West Central Association of Realtors MN in Willmar, Minnesota Other MLSs that have recently agreed to provide direct feeds to Zillow include Georgia MLS and Northeast Florida MLS. ListHub, a subsidiary of realtor.com operator Move Inc. which aggregates and distributes listing data, will stop supplying listings to Zillow on April 7, when the agreement governing the terms of how they are provided expires. Zillow announced in January that it had been unable to come to terms with Move’s parent company, News Corp., over renewing the agreement. Attorneys for Zillow subsidiary Trulia, which will also lose its ListHub feed on April 7, said Zillow chose not to renew the agreement with ListHub “when it became apparent that ListHub was demanding anticompetitive and onerous terms aimed at securing an unfair advantage for Move at Zillow’s expense.” Attorneys for Move claim that Zillow “effectively declared war on Move” before acquiring Trulia, accusing the company of using trade secrets stolen from Move to develop its newly launched listing platform, the Zillow Data Dashboard.
