With my partner, Michael, my daughters Alexa and newborn Paloma in tow, I headed to Paris for my Spring/Summer 2014 buying appointments.

KENZO

My first buying appointment of the season was Kenzo. Here is a shot of me trying on the Palm print coat that we will be receiving next season.

These are some of my Kenzo buying selections. The new season print for Kenzo is the palm print and we will be recieving this print in coats, dresses and blouses. Kenzo is one of the newest additions to the Parlour X portfolio and its one of my favourite contemporary collections.

Kenzo created a cute lunch cart in the courtyard for all the buyers! Perfect on a bright sunny summer Paris day…

Kenzo wouldn't be Kenzo without their iconic Tiger Print t-shirts and sweatshirts!

MARY KATRANTZOU

Mary Katrantzou launched her first resort collection this season and the result was shift dress, coats, silk blouses skirts and jumpers in light, fresh prints - perfect for our Australian Summer.

My selections from the Mary Katrantzou buying appointment.

I absolutely love this shirt-dress. Check out the colours. Mary is a digital print wiz!

And what about this skirt..?!? Its too fabulous. I want to wear it now…

ISABEL MARANT

The Isabel Marant showroom was frantic as usual.

This season Isabel Marant's collection was inspired by all things Japanese, however she has continued with her iconic sneaker styles, seen all over Paris – but expect great new colours of the Bekket and Bobby sneakers – stay tuned…!

BALENCIAGA

With Alexander Wang in his second season, it was clear he is looking to put his own stamp on Balenciaga - however it is good to see that the house will be continuing the classic styles of the Balenciaga motorcycle bags: City and Velos as well as the studded sandals & cuffs.

This season Balenciaga continued its black, white and grey colour palette - with variations on Wang's previous marble print from last season.

CARVEN

Out of all the pictorial prints out there at the moment - this Carven print has to be one of my favourites. This season saw Carven going back into the quirky, typical Carven that we know and love - it made a more enjoyable buying appointment.

Parlour X selections from the Carven showroom - tweed was a big theme this season - and I normally love tweed so I really enjoyed this Carven appointment.

Another shot of Parlour X's Carven style selections.

SAINT LAURENT

Saint Laurent is certainly the collection that everyone is taking about in Paris and is also turning out to be Parlour X's clientel's favourite collections. I took this showroom shot to show the colour palette that Slimane has injected into his normally dark collection. This season I focused on buying classic and timeless Saint Laurent pieces including suits, party dresses and the iconic Saint Laurent Le Smoking Jacket.

Sac Du Jour - as seen in this campaign shot - is still very much the new "IT" Bag of the season, and is one of the most coveted accessories all over the world by the fashion elite.

PETER PILOTTO

Peter Pilotto, this season, focused on a more mono-chromatic colour palette than in past seasons where colours WERE a major focus point. however, the design duo's classic pencil skirts, party dresses and silk seperates continued through this pre-collection, as did their signature graphic and digital prints.

JEROME DREYFUSS

The Jerome Dreyfuss showroom appointment is always fun as Jerome floats around chatting to the buyers - inspiring us with his new season influences and themes.

RICK OWENS

My final buying appointment of this pre-collection trip was one of my favourites - Rick Owens.

A shot of me trying on one of the new style Rick Owens sleeveless leather coats - I have my name on this one!

Parlour X style selections from Rick Owens and DRKSHDW.

A shot from the DRKSHDW portion of my buying appointment - here I am seeing how this dress looks on a fit model.

A great end to my trip - a picture with Rick Owens!
