ISLAMABAD: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly on Friday adopted a resolution demanding the federal government to conduct high-level inquiry into the incident of plane crash at Havelian.

The KP lawmakers expressed their grief and sorrow over loss of lives in crash of PIA Plane at Havelian on December 7. Twelve lawmakers including Qalandar Khan Lodhi, Haider Ali Khan and Shah Farman (PTI), Sardar Aurangzeb Nalota, Aamna Sardar and Abdul Sattar Khan (PML-N), Maulana Lutf ur Rehman and Mulana Mufti Fazal Ghafoor (JUI-F), Sardar Hussain Babak (ANP), Fakhr Azam Wazir (PPPP), Muhammad Ali (JI)  and Bakht Baidar (QWP) participated in debate about this tragic incident and demanded fair inquiry into the matter.

The Deputy Speaker Meher Taj Roghani presided over the entire sitting in the absence of Speaker Asad Qaiser. The Chief Minister was also not present.

The House adopted two other resolutions urging the government to form Minority Caucus in the Provincial Assembly and make public the financial deficit and list of political inductees in PIA.

The Annual Report of the Provincial Ombudsman KP for the year 2015 was presented in the House.  The House took up a Calling Attention Notice regarding dispute between Forest Department and owners of the Forest in Malakand Division.

The House considered a privilege motion submitted by a JUI-F lawmaker Mulana Mufti Fazal Ghafoor. It was about non-provision of details to him about induction in Class-IV jobs at Government College Jor, District Buner.
