Explore a mountain of possibilities along with the small town charm of Park City’s Historic Main Street. With an abundance of restaurants, bars, galleries, and shops, you’ll find something new to explore every day.

1.  Embrace the History
Once upon a time (circa late 1800’s), Park City was a prosperous silver mining town with a web of underground mines weaved throughout Park City Mountain. Today, relics of the past are still widely present. In fact, many of the buildings that line Main Street are registered with the National Register of Historic Places. Be sure and stop by the Park City Museum, or as it was called in 1865, the Town Jail, and learn more about the history that turned this mining town into one of the best ski towns in the U.S!

2. Apres/Nightlife

Ranked #2 on the list of “Best Ski Town Nightlife” (sorry, our beer doesn’t flow like wine and the beautiful women don’t instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano), Main Street lights up once the lifts shut down. For those coming straight from the slopes, ski down to the Town Lift and enjoy a selection of bars, and restaurants awaiting your thirst. Looking for live music? PC Live concert venue hosts big-name musical talent, while O.P. Rockwell and The Spur often host live music as well. But don’t forget, If you’re planning on bar hopping on Main Street, start at the top.   After a few cocktails, you’ll understand why it’s better to start at the top rather than the bottom.

3. Appease Your Appetite

Much of Park City’s fine-dining establishments focus strongly on locally sourced and personally crafted dishes.  With farm fresh ingredients and award-winning chefs, Main Street is a foodie’s heaven. One of our favorites is High West Whiskey, which serves handcrafted whiskey and possibly one of the best burgers in town.  Other spots to check out include Handle, Fletcher’s, Riverhorse on Main and an array of other fine-dining options to suit any appetite!

4.  Explore The Arts & Culture

The arts & culture scene in Park City has been thriving in the national spotlight for decades. In 1981 Utah resident Robert Redford created the Sundance Film Festival which attracts filmmakers, movie stars and fans alike to Main Street every January. In addition to the Film Festival, Main Street is dotted with unique art galleries such as the Prewitt Gallery, Thomas Anthony Gallery and more. Are you a Theatregoer?  Don’t forget to catch a theatric performance at the legendary and historic Egyptian Theatre.

5. Shopping on Main

If you’re looking forward to hitting the shops rather than the slopes, taking a stroll on Main Street to explore the many custom boutiques is a great option. Women love the progressive mountain town style that can be found in shops like Olive & Tweed and Flight. For men, stop by Prospect (there’s a custom barbershop inside as well!) or Jiberish for mountain casual styles. Need some last minute winter gear? The North Face right on Main is a great, stylish option.
