Responsibilities:
The Systems Administrator is responsible for design, implementation, deployment and day-to-day operations and support of our server/network/systems. The SysAdmin is responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of workstations and servers including web servers in support of business processing requirements.
S/He will schedule all installations and upgrades in accordance with our network policies. S/He will also conduct routine hardware and software audits of workstations and develop and maintain a comprehensive hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation regarding the network to be accessed for future troubleshooting and upgrades. Position Requirements:
This Systems Administrator position requires 5+ years enterprise server and networking experience and a basic knowledge of relational database concepts and substantial experience working with business computer systems in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Must have excellent communication, problem solving, and analytical skills; thorough understanding of logon process, passwords, user ids, queues, and software; knowledge of FTP and FTP scripts; and, knowledge of PCs (Windows XP, MS Active Directory, etc.) and MAC OS.
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for:
Supporting our MacOS and Microsoft infrastructure, in multiple locations
Assisting with the management of large-scale shared storage infrastructure
Testing, analysis and qualification of Citrix and Web-based applications
Database administration
Solving Active Directory, Citrix and Web Server trouble tickets
Creation and maintenance of user accounts, application permission management, compliance with security and system configuration standards
Monitoring server availability and resource utilization
Server racking/un-racking (the ability to lift 50+ pounds is required)
The ideal candidate will possess:
Complex application installation, configuration and integration experience
Solid understanding of Active Directory and NTFS permissions
Knowledge of Microsoft IIS and Windows Server 2003/2008 components
Data security as it pertains to server hardening and protection
Configuration and management of high availability network/shared storage systems
Citrix Server farm configuration and management
Database administration
Deployment and management of virtual server environments
Ability to research and solve complex problems and unusual challenges
