LAHORE: With one-stop shop solutions taking over the market for the comfort and convenience of buyers and customers, organic food, affordable beauty products, woven rugs, hand-made serving dishes and trendy apparel/jewellery is something we all are vying for.

There’s a reason behind the success of Khalis Food Market, wedding and furniture expos in the country; all items and commodities are affordable, homemade and very suitable for the buyer. Keeping that in mind, The Road to Lifestyle Expo was held in Lahore, housing a plethora of domestic brands, both new and established, where buyers and potential customers got together to experience a mini-shopping festival.

Organised and arranged by Aamer Ghias, Iquera Tahir, Maffaz Tahir and Mansoor Nasir, the event held stalls and brief exhibitions by more than 60 brands under one roof.

Shagufta Agha of Des Dinnerware – a serving dish and tea platter collection brand – expressed her excitement to be a part of the expo. “I believe it’s a tremendous effort and venture by the brains behind lifestyle expo to bring forth start-up brands at such an elevated platform, where buyers and sellers can come together and interact. With inflation and over-priced products hitting the sky, such exhibitions warm the minds of citizens and restore their faith in quality and affordable products.” Shagufta experienced massive sales owing to her standardised and quality products which were available at the most affordable of prices. “With my start-up label, I wanted to reach out to a large number of clientele and not restrict my brand to provide to only those who are willing to dish out tens of thousands. Hence, my price range for tier plates and serving dishes was Rs 4,500 to Rs 35,000. I believe in a something for everyone approach, just the ethos this lifestyle expo maintains,” she said while talking exclusively to Daily Times.

Budding fashion designer Hina Raza was the most excited. “Exhibitions like these are a breath of fresh air. We don’t have to limit ourselves by stocking in a store and waiting for sales to happen gradually. With expos like these, we get to go home with a major chunk of our creations sold. Also, with the wedding season upon us, women throng the premises and we get a good bargain for our products,” the young prêt and couture designer said, also while talking exclusively to Daily Times.

Other than Des Dinnerware and Hina Raza, some of the other brands exhibiting were Lure, Saphigo, Dior, Threadlines by Sajid, AB, Roseez, Dolce Vita, Jeem, Lilac, Jild, Dune, Shahana and FS.

Savvy PR Events were behind the PR and media of the expo. The next instalment of The Road to Lifestyle Expo will be announced soon.
