The #4 ranked McCook Bison used a strong, ball control offense and took advantage of Alliance miscues in a 34-0 win Friday night in McCook. After a scoreless opening quarter, the Bison got on the scoreboard first on a 4 yard run by Quarterback Easton Gillen with 6:37 remaining in the half. The PAT made it 7-0 McCook at halftime. McCook then returned the 2nd half kick-off to near mid field and following a penalty on Alliance, marched down the field and scored on a 2 yard run by Easton Gillen to take a 13-0 lead with 8:13 to go in the 3rd quarter. The Bison tacked on another score with 12.3 seconds remaining in the 3rd on a 4 yard run by Zach Schlager to take a 20-0 lead into the 4th. McCook added 2 more scores in the final quarter on a 26 yard run by Cade Cappell and a 14 yard run by Gabe Schnert to make the final score 34-0. McCook improves to 4-0, and will travel to York on September 23. Alliance is now 2-2 and will host Lexington next Friday. Kick-off is set for 7 pm (MT) at Bulldog Stadium.
