Patrick Mooney and Conor McGhehey
The latest Chadron State College senior thesis art show opened its two week run this week in the Memorial Hall Main Gallery.
“The Altered World” featuring the work of Patrick Mooney and Conor McGhehey runs through December 6th with an artists reception this afternoon from 4-6 in the Memorial Hall lobby.
Mooney, from Scottsbluff, will be receiving his bachelor’s degree with the art/graphic design option in May. His artwork consists of paintings, sculpture, stained glass, and graphic design inspired by video games, music, movies and family.
McGhehey, from Alliance, will also be graduating with a bachelor’s degree art/graphic design option but will do so next month. He says the inspiration for his painting, sculpture, mix-media, and stained glass work comes from movies, random Google searches, music and his own imaginational twists.
The artwork the Mooney and McGhehey have on display is also for sale. The Memorial Hall Main Gallery hours are 9-4:00 Monday-Friday.
