THE Invasion Tour comes to a close as one of the country’s biggest music festivals wraps up the last leg of their tour in Iloilo on its third time for the Dinagyang Festival. This year’s Invasion Iloilo 2016 is going to redefine the festival party experience for the Ilonggos with unparalleled lights and effects and a world-class stage that will gather the biggest names in EDM with the country’s best and top international DJs.
Just like the Sinulog Festival in Cebu, Dinagyang celebrates the city’s devotion to Santo Niño while also paying tribute to the arrival of Malay settlers in the island. It’s one big celebration that shows how the “City of Love” lives up to its name. Fun fact: Did you know that all costumes during the street dancing competitions are made of indigenous materials? Dinagyang is truly a festival of ingenuity and creativity.
