It seems like scoring a Kylie Lip Kit is less likely than winning the Mega Millions jackpot at this point. The collection of liquid lipsticks (and corresponding pencils) are often sold out a mere thirty seconds after their launch. So, what’s the fuss? These liquid lipsticks are the brainchild of Kylie Jenner, also known as the woman with the most talked-about lips in the world. She almost single-handedly brought back the ‘90s lip color trend, so it’s not surprising that her namesake line is a runaway success. What is surprising is how hard it is to snag one of these coveted liquid lipsticks. You could always order one off eBay, but if you don’t want to spend up to thousands of dollars on a lipstick, check out our favorite Kylie Lip Kit dupes, below!

Candy K, a pinky nude, was a standout from the original Kylie Lip Kit launch. It’s a classic nude, but there’s something about it that is so feminine, romantic and simply gorgeous. If you haven’t been able to get your hands on it, don’t worry – check out the nearly identical dupes, below.

Anastasia Liquid Lipstick in Pure Hollywood: This was my first liquid lipstick, and it is still one of my favorites. It has a bit more peach in it that Candy K, but they are very similar. It’s such a glamorous color, and pairs beautifully with dramatic eye looks. Pure Hollywood and a classic smoky eye are made for each other. The only thing to keep in mind is that ABH liquid lipsticks tend to be drying – make sure to swipe on a hydrating balm before applying this formula. ($20)

Gerard Cosmetics Hydra-Matte Liquid Lipstick in Serenity: Gerard Cosmetics makes some of the best lip products ever, and their liquid lipsticks are no exception. ‘Hydra’ is right there in the name – these are not as drying as most liquid lippies on the market. The color itself is an almost identical dupe for Candy K – definitely worth trying if you can’t snag Candy. ($20)

Dolce K is a medium beige nude that is probably most similar to Kylie’s signature lip color. It’s a nude with an edge. Unique, yet extremely wearable, with a hint of ’90s nostalgia.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Bow N Arrow: Just like the Kyle colors, this liquid lipstick by Kat Von D is often sold out. (It’s currently available on Sephora’s site, so grab it while you can!) Bow N Arrow is a fawn nude that’s strikingly similar to Dolce K. KVD’s liquid lipsticks are extremely long-wearing, and they don’t crumble or fade away like many other formulas. Apply it, and you won’t need to touch it up or adjust it the entire night. ($20)

ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip in Beeper: The formula of ColourPop’s Ultra Matte Lips is admittedly very drying – if you can’t handle the feeling of dry lips, this is not for you. At $6, though, it’s worth it for many (…myself included). I just keep a lip balm in my purse, and apply some on top when my lips feel chapped. This color is a perfect dupe for Dolce K. It’s described as a ‘warm mid-tone taupe,’ and it is stunning. ($6)

True Brown K’s name speaks for itself: it is a true, chocolate brown. Rich, velvety and opaque, this ’90s-inspired hue is the ultimate brown liquid lipstick. It’s probably the one shade in the Kylie collection that has multiple identical dupes on the market – keep reading for two of the best.

Dose of Colors Liquid Lipstick in Chocolate Wasted: The Dose of Colors liquid lipstick formula is unreal. Richly pigmented and opaque, velvety to the touch and ultra-long-wearing, Chocolate Wasted applies like a dream. The line of liquid lippies is vegan, cruelty-and-gluten free, so think of it as a guilt-free buy! ($18)

Lime Crime Velvetine in Salem: Lime Crime sold liquid lipsticks before liquid lipsticks were a trend…these have been around for a while, so you know they’re good. This formula is one of the most long-lasting on the market, and the color payoff is insane. Salem is a deep, chocolatey brown that dries down to a velvety matte finish. Transfer-and-smudge-proof, these will last through any meal, drink or kiss. ($20)

Posie K is an unexpected addition to the Kylie Lip Kit line – it’s very different than the colors she typically wears – but it is so lovely. Perfect for spring, Posie K is a romantic, purple-toned pink shade. Get the look with the shades shown below…

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Doll Parts: Jeffree Star is a liquid lipstick master. The formula is incredible – creamy, pigmented, long-lasting – and the colors are so unique and vibrant. Doll Parts is an extremely close dupe for Posie: a soft, cool-toned pink that you’ll want to wear all spring and summer long. ($18)

BH Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick in Endora: The photos online don’t do it justice, but BH’s Endora is a near-exact dupe for Kylie’s Posie K. The long-wearing, super pigmented formula is infused with good-for-you Vitamin E, and at $6.50, you really can’t beat that price. ($6.50)

Koko K is a wearable, light pink-nude with cool undertones. The shade is named after Kylie’s older sister, Khloe. Rumor has it, it’s the best-selling shade in the entire collection…and it’s not hard to see why. It’s the perfect pinky nude – something that would flatter plenty of different skin tones, and it’s the type of shade you can pull off both day and night.

ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip in Midi: My top nude shade from ColourPop’s line is Midi, a sultry, soft neutral beige. This shade would pair beautifully with a classic smoky, a bright eye or pretty much any evening look you can think of. Keep in mind that this formula dries down fast, so work quickly when applying it so that it won’t appear uneven. ($6)

Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint in Namaste: The new Tarte Lip Paint formula is amazing. These lippies are not drying at all, and they don’t crumble away on your lips after a few hours of wear. Namaste glides on seamlessly. Often with lighter shades, it takes a few swipes because it can appear patchy, but you just need one swipe with this color. You won’t even feel this on your lips once it dries – I could go on and on about this phenomenal product. ($20)

Mary Jo K is a bright, cheerful red with blue undertones. It’s that kind of red that will make anyone’s teeth look ultra-white, aka something you need in your life! Named after Kylie’s grandmother, this shade is a true classic.

Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Always Red: Sephora’s liquid lipsticks are so underrated – they’re fantastic. As far as liquid lipsticks go, the formula of this is very comfortable. It glides on smoothly, lasts until you wipe it off and delivers major color payoff. Always Red is a bold, statement-making color. Apply it carefully, because once it’s on, it’s on. ($14)

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Monte Carlo: The Soft Matte Lip Creams from NYX are truly one of my favorite lip products ever. They might not be as pigmented or long-lasting as true liquid lipsticks, but this weightless formula is so easy-to-apply and comfortable on the lips that it doesn’t matter. It’s worth a touch-up or two, especially at that price. Monte Carlo is a vivid, bright red that dries to a velvety finish on your lips. ($5.99)

22 is a one-of-a-kind shade: a vibrant, burnt red-orange. It is the ideal bright lip for spring, and would flatter an extremely wide range of skin tones. Curious why it doesn’t follow the ‘K’ trend of shade names? 22 is Kylie’s lucky number.

Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Surfers’ Paradise: Ofra is a slightly under-the-radar brand, but it’s beloved amongst the YouTube/Instagram beauty community. Their liquid lipsticks are known to have arguably the best formula of anything on the market. A creamy, long-lasting product that won’t feather or bleed outside of your lips, this is a line worth getting familiar with. Compared to 22, Surfers’ Paradise is more of a true, bright orange – order it if you’re looking for something vivid. ($19.90)

ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip in Succulent: Succulent is without a doubt one of my favorite Ultra Matte Lip colors, and there are a lot to choose from. It’s such an eye-catching, memorable shade. Described as an ‘electric neon orange red,’ it’s the louder alternative to 22. It’s worth mentioning again: ColourPop’s liquid lipsticks are only six dollars. ($6)

Kourt K is the latest addition to the Kylie Lip Kit line, and it’s unlike anything else in the collection. Dramatic, deep and bold, Kourt K is a dark purple that demands attention. Named after the eldest Kardashian, Kourtney, this is a more mature and sophisticated color. Confidence is key when wearing this daring shade.

MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour in Oh, Lady: MAC has finally released its own line of liquid lipsticks – what took so long?! – and Oh, Lady is a beautiful dupe for Kourt K. The deep wine shade dries down to a matte finish and lasts up to eight hours. It’s not as dark as Kourt K, so it’s perfect for those who want a more wearable version of a vampy purple. ($20)

Anastasia Liquid Lipstick in Sad Girl: Sad Girl is a dark plum shade that has a slightly metallic finish. It’s a color for those who dare to go unapologetically bold – the metallic sheen adds an extra dimension of drama and depth. Like most ABH liquid lippies, it glides on smoothly and lasts, but it can be a bit drying, so prep with some lip balm before applying. ($20)
