Everyone loves sorbet: it’s the dairy-free, fruity ice cream replacement that you can easily make at home using any (or all!) of these tasty and simple recipes.

1. Purple Grape and Rosemary Sorbet

Here’s a fancier sorbet sweetened with maple syrup and seasoned with fresh rosemary. Never had savory herbs with fruit before? You have to try it! Keep in mind that while the alcohol here is optional, it will help your sorbet to remain soft and scoopable if you store it.

2. Blueberry Sorbet

For a simple and pure flavor with some added healthy fat and a dose of delicious maple syrup, give this easy blueberry sorbet a try. You’ll need an ice cream maker for this one, but it’s sure to give you the smoothest ice cream with fewer ice crystals.

3. Coconut Cherry Sorbet

While this recipe calls for Greek yogurt as its creamy agent, you can simply use coconut yogurt—and if you do, you may not even need to add the coconut extract, since you’ll be getting that tropical flavor from the yogurt. Such a great flavor combination!

4. 5 Minute Mojito Sorbet

I love this recipe because despite being a sweet treat, it’s really good for you! For real: it’s made from frozen cucumbers, fresh spearmint leaves, lime juice, and optional stevia. This is an intensely refreshing sorbet that would make the perfect companion to my hot desert days.

5. Cherry, Rosemary, and Lemon Sorbet

This sorbet has a unique flavor combination with frozen cherries, fresh rosemary, and lemon juice. It doesn’t need any additional sweetening, and because it’s made with frozen fruit, you don’t need an ice cream maker—just a strong blender or even a food processor.

6. Vegan Mango and Coconut Float

This recipe is for a mango sorbet with the bonus option to turn it into a delicious, tropical dream float with coconut cream that’s been blended into a yummy, frothy ocean of coconut goodness into which you can float your mango boat (and your cares) away.

7. Concord Grape Sorbet With Rosemary and Black Pepper

This might be my favorite sorbet recipe. It’s a little more complex than others and involves simmering your fruit slurry and churning it in an ice cream maker, but allowing the fruit to cook down and using an ice cream maker is the key to that smooth, creamy texture.

8. Healthy Peach Melba Sorbet

This sorbet is made with frozen bananas, which lend an extra creamy texture to the dessert and are sweet enough that you don’t need to add anything else to sweeten it. Blend with vanilla extract and frozen raspberries for a swirly, tasty sorbet that’s as beautiful as it is delicious.

9. Basil Cantaloupe Sorbet

Here’s another sorbet recipe using fresh herbs with fruit—this time it’s basil with sweet and yummy cantaloupe. The basil really helps to accent the freshness of the cantaloupe, while a pinch of salt brings out the flavors and vodka keeps it soft and smoothly scoopable.

10. Fresh Peach Sorbet

This peach sorbet blends up easily without an ice cream machine! You’ll need to have your peaches frozen before you start, and fresh, very ripe peaches yield better results than ones bought from the freezer aisle. You can use any Paleo-friendly almond milk you prefer.

11. Concord Grape Sorbet

This is a special sorbet recipe that uses egg whites to stay soft, creamy, and fluffy—just the way you want your sorbet! Sweetened gently with honey, it’s a beautiful and rich purple color that no one will be able to resist. And if they do, make ’em take a bite and they’ll fall in love.

12. Easy Cherry-Chocolate Sorbet

I love the combination of cherries and chocolate, and if you don’t, well, we can’t be friends. Just kidding. But really, what’s not to love about this recipe? You have cherries, chocolate, vanilla, almond extract, and a crazy, easy process that’ll have your sorbet ready to eat in five minutes.

13. Strawberry Lime Sorbet

I love this bright and sweet strawberry lime sorbet. You’ll need an ice cream maker to make it, but that’ll ensure that you get the creamiest finished product you can possible get. No icy bits here! You can use maple syrup or honey if you don’t want to use Swerve, but they may alter the flavor or texture.

14. Strawberry Rhubarb Sorbet

A bit sweet and a bit tangy, this wonderful early summer treat is made from fresh rhubarb and strawberries, which really are best friends. Sweeten it with a bit of honey and spike with lemon juice for an extra burst of flavor. With its pretty pink color, this is certainly a kid-friendly treat.

15. Summertime Mango Coconut Sorbet

Here’s another tropical-flavored sorbet for you to make when you want to pretend you’re on that island vacation you’ve always wanted to take. Coconut palm sugar is your sweetener of choice here, while arrowroot powder helps give you a softer and smoother sorbet.

16. Savory Tomato Sorbet

This recipe probably isn’t for everyone, but maybe it’s for you. Sorbet doesn’t always have to be sweet! The refreshing sorbet is made with tomatoes, olive oil, Tabasco sauce, avocadoes, onions, and a dash of cayenne pepper for a spicy treat that makes a great summer appetizer.
