While we think of honey as a sweets-related thing, this list of paleo honey-sweetened recipe is reflective of the paleo attitude toward eating: focus on healthy, whole foods with only occasional, paleo-friendly treats. You’ll find lots of savory recipes here as well as healthy treats! Want some honey-sweetened muffins or bread? You got it. Baked fruit? You got it. But you’ve also got delicious honey-garlic chicken, kabobs, and more. Honey will become your new favorite ingredient.
1. Simple Paleo Granola
I’m a granola-for-breakfast kind of person. I like my breakfast to be quick to prepare, involve almost no clean up, and be nice and light. This paleo granola is all of those things, with slivered almonds, shredded coconut, sunflower and pumpin seeds, coconut oil, honey, and vanilla.

2. Broiled Grapefruit With Coconut Whipped Cream
I love broiled grapefruit. It’s hot, sweet, caramelized, and flavorful with raw honey, vanilla extract, cinnamon, ground ginger, cardamom, and nutmeg. You can top it with whatever you want, from pomegranate seeds to granola to cacao nibs or chopped nuts.
3. Grapefruit Honey Garlic Chicken Wings
Speaking of grapefruit, give these little buddies a try. These chicken wings have a traditional honey-garlic flavor with the added spunk of the juice and pulp from grapefruits. You may have had versions of orange chicken before, so think of it as a twist on that flavor.
4. Easy Baked Honey Teriyaki Chicken
Love teriyaki chicken but can’t get it from a restaurant because it’s not paleo? We can help. Try this baked honey teriyaki chicken made with coconut aminos, apple cider vinegar, garlic, honey, ginger, and arrowroot powder. You’ll never look back!
5. Citrus and Honey Roasted Beets
Beets have a very earth flavor that some people really love, and others don’t love it so much. You can learn to enjoy beets with delicious complements like lemon juice, orange juice, shallots, raw honey, and olive oil. In this recipe, you’ll want to leave out the goat cheese.

6. Flourless Almond Cake With Strawberries and Coconut Cream
Cakes like this are my favorite. They’re only very gently sweetened (this one is with honey), they have simple flavors like vanilla, and a lovely texture from almond flour with no frosting—only sweet strawberries. Instead of Splenda, use stevia in your whipped coconut cream.
7. Raspberry Chia Jam
This chia jam is made with fresh raspberries, lemon juice, lemon zest, raw honey, and (of course) chia seeds. If you haven’t made chia jam before, you have to try this recipe! You’ll never bother with cooked jam ever again, and you definitely won’t buy it in stores!
8. Paleo Almond Butter Cups
Peanut butter cups are a favorite treat in my house, and I’d like to try making this healthier version with almond butter, coconut oil, coconut flour, honey, vanilla extract, and chocolate chips (Enjoy Life is a good brand but you can use your favorite).
9. Hazelnut Coconut Cookies
Where could you go wrong with cookies made from hazelnut flour? Their flavor is spectacular with unsweetened coconut flakes, raw honey, coconut oil, and vanilla extract. These cookies are super simple to make, too, and the kids would probably love to help.

10. Honey Sriracha Chicken Zoodle Bowls
This dish is awesome. You’ve got a delicious honey sriracha flavor, chicken, fresh ginger, veggies like zucchini and carrots, garlic, and more. You’ll need to make just a few adjustments to it by using coconut aminos instead of soy sauce and arrowroot or tapioca instead of cornstarch.
11. Baked Lemon Honey Mustard Chicken
My mouth is watering just looking at the delicious glaze on top of this chicken. And it’s baked, so that’s almost no work on your part! Make this dinner with bone-in chicken thighs, fresh lemon juice, rosemary, olive oil, honey, lemon, and whole grain or Dijon mustard.
12. Almond Flour Chocolate Cake
If you love almond flour cakes but chocolate is more your thing, try this chocolate version sweetened with honey and flavored with vanilla and cocoa powder. You could finish it off with frosting, fruit, powdered coconut sugar, or even a scoop (just before serving) of paleo ice cream.
13. Blackened Sweet and Spicy Salmon
This salmon gets its sweetness from honey and coconut sugar and its spiciness from garlic, paprika, chili powder, cumin, and cayenne. It’s broiled in the oven and ready in fifteen minutes. Seriously—fifteen minutes! That’s a fast dinner if I’ve ever heard of one.

14. Balsamic Honey Roasted Brussels Sprouts
I really love Brussels sprouts, and my favorite ways to cook them always involve roasting them with a variety of seasonings, drizzles, and flavors. I love this version with grass-fed butter, fresh cracked pepper, balsamic vinegar, and sweet and delicious honey.
15. Ruby Red Grapefruit Honey Glazed Skillet Chicken
How beautiful is this dish? With that bright ruby red grapefruit, and golden-brown chicken….mmm. I want this in my mouth right now. You can make it with grapefruit juice and zest, honey, olive oil, garlic, herbs de provence, salt and pepper, and a whole chicken.
16. Baked Honey Mustard Paprika and Turmeric Chicken
The best dinners are the ones you bake in the oven all in one dish. This is one such dinner, so I’m pretty excited to share it. You’ll need broccoli, sliced white mushrooms, salt, pepper, honey, Dijon mustard, dried basil, sweet paprika, and turmeric.
17. Fig and Date Breakfast Parfait
This delicious breakfast parfait is easy to make. You’ll need coconut yogurt, vanilla extract, monk fruit sweetener or stevia, date paste, figs, fresh raspberries, almonds, and honey. If you get it nice and cold, you can drizzle the honey on top and it’ll get chewy and gooey like caramel!

18. Paleo Pear and Cranberry Muffins
Tart cranberry and sweet pears are a great combination in this muffin, which is made with a base of almond flour, melted butter or coconut oil, eggs, and honey. A bit of lemon juice helps give them lift, which cinnamon adds a spicy undertone that’s also sweet.
19. Mexican Mocha
This drink is good stuff. You can make it with fresh brewed coffee, coconut milk, nut milk . I’d use almond, cacao powder, raw honey, vanilla, cinnamon, and cayenne. The cayenne gives it an awesome punch of heat that perfectly complements the sweetness of chocolate and honey.
20. Paleo Takeout: Honey Sesame Chicken
If you love sesame chicken, you have to try this recipe. The chicken meatballs are made with fish sauce, coconut sugar, white pepper, and ginger, and they’re covered in a sweet, spicy, and savory sauce with honey, Chinese cooking wine, coconut aminos, sea salt, and pepper.
21. Sesame Cookies With Nut Butter and Honey
These cookies are simple and lovely. All you need is sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, honey, almond flour, smooth almond butter, and shredded coconut. They’re egg-free and vegan, so perfect for vegan friends. They would also make fantastic Christmas cookies!

22. French Spice Bread
With a flavor that’s reminiscent of gingerbread, this honey-sweetened French spice loaf is exactly what you want sliced up for breakfast and spread with some grass-fed butter. It’s rich with delicious cashew and almond butter and spicy with cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, aniseed, black pepper, orange zest, and more.
23. Pumpkin Spice Coconut Macaroons
Macaroons are a simple cookie to make, and they’re very often naturally paleo, so a lot of adjustments aren’t necessary to get the same flavor and texture. This version is sweetened with honey and coconut sugar and flavored with pumpkin puree and pumpkin spice.
24. Creamy Kabocha Squash Mash
I would eat this mash for breakfast! It’d make a good dinner side dish too, but really, this is a sweet and hot bowl of delicious comfort that is good just about any time of day. You can make it with kabocha squash (roasted), coconut milk, honey, cinnamon, and sea salt.

I want these donuts in my mouth right now. They’re very simple, and all you need is almond flour, tapioca starch, honey, butter, egg, vanilla, coconut butter, vanilla bean, lemon juice, and a few other easy ones like baking powder. Be right back—I need to go bake a batch of these.

26. Sweet and Spicy Roasted Cashews
I do a lot of hiking on the weekends, and I find that nuts are the best snack to bring with me. I love to make homemade roasted nuts, and this recipe is one of my favorites. You’ll need honey, cashews, ground chili powder, coconut sugar, and sea salt.
27. Fudgy Paleo Brownies
Obviously superior to cakey brownies, fudgy brownies like these make my mouth water. They’re easy to make with coconut oil, cocoa powder, chocolate, honey, eggs, vanilla, coconut flour, salt, and expresso powder—that last one is optional, but really brings out the flavors.

In the world of simple desserts that are still impressive, baked fruit is usually a winner. This baked pears recipe uses honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, coconut milk yogurt, vanilla bean paste, coconut sugar, and chopped pecans to make a beautiful dessert that takes little preparation.

Yes, please! This upside down cake is gooey and sweet with apples, coconut sugar, ground ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, allspice, cloves, and vanilla. It would make a perfect holiday cake, or even a birthday cake for someone who’s a bit less traditional.
31. Pumpkin Banana Bread
Have the best of both worlds when you make this delicious pumpkin banana bread sweetened with honey and mashed banana. The mashed plantain helps give it structure without additional flour, and the vanilla, cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice create beautiful flavors.
32. Red Fruit Salad With Honeyed Yogurt
This red salad will make you feel like you’re eating a plate of rubies…without the gastrointestinal discomfort that might result from that. Top your strawberries, raspberries, watermelon, and pomegranate seeds with coconut yogurt sweetened with honey.
33. Soy-Free Teriayaki Chicken Wings
Covered in a honey-garlic glaze with pomegranate juice, molasses, and coconut aminos, these delicious wings are exactly what your Saturday night needs. You’ll just need to replace the cane sugar with coconut sugar to make the recipe fully paleo. Enjoy!

Who says you cant enjoy fried chicken biscuits on a paleo diet? You totally can! This fun lunch is made using homemade coconut-almond-tapioca flour biscuits deliciously seasoned fried chicken drizzle with sweet honey. You’re going to want this every day.
35. 3 Ingredient Paleo Hot Cocoa
Simple paleo hot cocoa doesn’t require very many ingredients. This one is made with creamy cashew milk (you could also use almond, but coconut might be too rich), cacao powder, and honey. If you’re feeling frisky, you could add a pinch of cinnamon and cayenne pepper.
36. Honey Roasted Plums With Almond
Here’s another delicious roasted fruit recipe that makes a simple and elegant dessert. You’ll need plums (you could also use nectarines), coconut oil, honey, mahlab seasonings, sea salt, and chopped raw almonds for sprinkling over the top.

Who doesn’t love tahini? Nobody! These tahini glazed chicken wings have a fabulous flavor from melted ghee, sea salt, black pepper, tahini, coconut aminos, honey, ground ginger, and cayenne pepper (optional). Serve topped with sliced scallions and toasted sesame seeds.

Everything is better eaten on a stick. It’s the truth! These kabobs are fun and awesome, with orange juice, coconut aminos (instead of tamari), honey, rice wine vinegar, garlic, spring onions, sea salt, sesame seeds, and if you like it hot, sriracha sauce.

I love peach flavors with chicken, especially along with BBQ flavors like chipotle! The sweet and spicy flavors are fantastic together, and this recipe is super easy to make with honey, lime, peaches, chipotle peppers, and bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs.
