Would you please tell us something about you and your site?

I am Khadija Kiran living in the capital of Pakistan. I am doing masters in EPM(education planning & management) I am a psychology graduate & I also did textile designing three years back. People around me are mostly in a habit of call me by saying “Creative Mind” and the reason is my creative nature..I am good in sharing my arts & crafts with others,so I start a blog two years back with this name Khadija’s Creative Mind.its running very well MashaAllah & have crossed up to half million page views in one year..during first year of blogging I was not so active & were not serious for writing regular but later when I got appreciation from my readers & then some supplies from some international craft brands then I thought to work seriously!

I’m wondering what some of your memorable experiences are with blogging?

Blogging  is just fun..Whenever I am happy I just write a random post & so many people respond..blogging is not just sharing random stuff, via blogging I have hundreds of friends from all over the world..even from very small countries & places I feel so good at this..I have been featured at up to 60 websites & in a few e-magazines,its a smart feeling to become others favorite

If you had to describe life as a blogger in a Twitter message (140 characters) what would you say?

Life  is all about sharing & caring….share smartly & care wonderfully..you will definitely get awesome feedback, which will help you in spending a happy awesome life

What do you think sets Your site apart from others?

My site is a mixture of so many arts & crafts things which are usually around us… I feel its different because I am not sharing any difficult or expensive crafts tutorials..my ideas are mostly easy & based on recycling/reuse..even kids can try besides so many young readers,I also have kids & senior readers,Like a girl of 11 years old & an 89 years old lady from Texas. So you can imagine every age group is enjoying..not just a specific age group is following along

If you could choose one characteristic you have that brought you success in life, what would it be?

I  think I am super punctual…I have scheduled my every hour nicely..I know what & when I have to do my studies/blogging/crafts etc…that’s why I got 92% marks in my 3rd semester.I don’t like wasting time..would u believe I am not a TV/movies fan..my friends sometimes don’t believe this but really I only see movies just by chance not specially wasting time for long lasting dramas and things like this.

What was the happiest and gloomiest moment of your life?

I have tons of happiest moments in my life Alhamdulillah.. Which one to choose..hmm.well my most recent happy moment was my graduation convocation..it was filled with joys & pleasure, after two years of leaving college, meeting with friends and teachers was so pleasant

If you could pick a travel destination, anywhere in the world, with no worries about how it?s paid for - what would your top 3 choices be?

Many  people are calling me abroad in international craft fairs & exhibitions but being a student I cant avail this opportunity..Although I want to visit…

Well if will be choosing any three, they would be..

Italy-its all about fashion & fun

Turkey-I love the place & people

Dubai-I love shopping & the beautiful buildings there!

What is your favorite book and why?

I am not reading books these days because students are sometimes tired of reading textbooks..hehe But last book I read was Paulo Coelho’s Alchemist.I like the creative way

how he write books..I want to read his new book right after my exams definitely !!

How bloggers can benefit from blogs financially?

Blogging can be helpful if you want to earn, but here in PK I notice there are a very very few craft bloggers, and they r not regular in sharing their work,If someone want to earn, they must be regular in sharing posts & spreading. I also face a common problem about money transfer like PayPal account..which is not working here..I have shared many sponsor posts on my blog & so many sponsors refused just because of money transfer invalid way.Which is not good so earning via blog is not much successful here.

PayPal must be activated here so outsiders can be able to work with us.

What role can bloggers of the world play to make this world more friendlier and less hostile?

Blogging  is a good way for spreading soft & nice image of your country! I feel so good when people write me & ask me about my Pakistan & I always feel proud that Yes I am a Pakistani blogging is a better way to share your experiences & best things about your country,so

others will notice the other side of the picture via your blog I have so many friends & followers from India..Israel & America…

I like photography & one of my fellow blogger is having a cooking blog  Plateful where she is having such awesome yummy photographs of her cooking & recipes.I like the way how she is sharing her awesome Cooking experiences!

What is the future of blogging?

According to me.. Blogging is like a digital diary in which you can share your life and experiences in a proper way..as social media is increasing day by day..so I am sure its future will be more bright in Pakistan.

You have also got a blogging life, how has it directly affected both your personal and professional life?

Blogging  has changed my point of view about few things.. When I start blogging ,I was thinking people will not like my blog because I am from Pakistan but there is no problem like this, but once I was rejected by an American publishing company without any reason when i was going to

publish in their magazine & they refuse after knowing about my bio..well its a rough experience!

Blogging is increasing my confidence level and experience and with this I am preparing well for starting my online business.. Hopefully in future I will be selling my crafts..

What are your future plans?

I  will be starting an online business soon & will be selling my crafts and handmade stuff.I am also thinking about writing an ebook of my tutorials..if someone can help me..you can contact me.

Any Message you want to give to the readers of The Pakistani Spectator?

I wish Pakistani youngsters stop wasting their precious time on social networks websites with just chat & rough things..I feel so sad when I notice wrong things are coming from any Pakistani..well I will suggest everyone to work hard & well for the prosperity of Pakistan.yes We CAN do this…just think seriously.

Thank You,

Khadija Kiran
