KARACHI: National Forum for Environment & Health (NFEH) announced results of 11th Annual Environment Excellence Awards (AEEA 2014) for best performance of 2013-14.

This was announced by NFEH Chairman Dr. Kaiser Waheed and President NFEH M Naeem Qureshi after final meeting of jury held at a local hotel. Qureshi said the award had been instituted to recognize and promote the organizations which make an outstanding contribution to sustainable development and economic growth of the country. These companies are working tremendously for achieving economic and social development without harming the environment and natural resources.

This year, more than 186 companies and organization has submitted their nominations. The three-member jury has finalized the names of following 69 companies for 11th AEEA-2014:

The jury comprised environment experts including Shamsul Haq Memon, Consultant Sindh Coastal Authority and CEO Environment Management Consultant Nadeem Arif. A grand award ceremony will be held at a local hotel in Lahore on September 27, 2014 . Governor Punjab Chaudhary Mohammad Sarwar will be the chief guest.
