When I got my first 350iBTR I instantly fell in love... sophisticated looks, very cool volume knob feel and functional design. Then, of course, I stayed in a garage for some time and started exploring.
I still had my original car speakers but I liked the sound a lot. Actually that was cool since I could compare previous headunit (JVC) to Nakamichi.
I don't have to tell you what this unit has (see features), all I can say is that it sounds great! I knew right away that I don't want any other unit but this one.
However, hick-up came when I plugged in my iPhone. Unit crashed and reset all the settings. Than it happened again and again. I exchanged it for exact same one. This one crashed too.
I got a third one. It crashed as well. I decided to send an email to Nakamichi explaining my problem. They replayed with a new firmware attached and problem was solved.
It seems that my iPhone 6 with 128 GB was confusing the unit.
I finally got my Nakamichi to work perfect!
In the mean time my new speakers, amp and subwoofer came in and system is sounding amazing!!! While I was waiting for USB problem to be resolved, I enjoyed music from SD card (my audio books, it continues where it stopped), CD and mainly my music via Bluetooth. Funny thing is that Bluetooth sounds so good that I didn't even need USB at the end hahaha! I just assumed that Bluetooth sounds just ok based on other radios I've heard. Not the case here. To be fair, I'll mention that USB connected phone shows song info and you can browse from the phone.
If you have just a factory speakers: turn on two enhancements: DBSS and XBASS. You'll love it!
I do wish unit had an external Mic for Bluetooth though! But hey, this performance for this money is incredible!
