So who has heard of Sizzle? I have to confess I had not until Precious (what a lovely name) got in touch with me. Sizzle is Ocado’s Kitchen store selling and fantastic range of kitchen and dining products. I apologise now if you go and visit there you may be there a while. What I also love about the website apart from most of the goods for sale is it is really easy to navigate. Don’t you find some websites the categories can drive you a little bit mad. You will have no such trouble with Sizzle and it is a pleasure to look around.

Anyway this time of year many of us plan to go a bit mad on baking. To me it is one of Christmas pleasures, the smell of all those festive flavours filling the house and they literally do. But you want to keep your cake and bakes for as long as possible well the bits that have not been munched straight away!

Looks fab and keeps cakes fresh what more could you want?

Cake storage tins in the last few years I have not had much luck with. I buy for the look of them and then face with the crumb sucking in seam which so many cake tins have! This equals even the most throughly washing of them can mean one stray crumb and there is always one can decide to go mouldy and stinky very quickly. I like to bake with fresh fruit and I am telling you now a stray fresh fruit cake crumb is my cake storage nemesis.

With no bottom seam there is no way for crumbs to go and hide!

So in a couple of years I have had to throw out two set of lovely cakes tins for one crumby reason all another. I can remember my Nan and Grannies cake tins lasting forever and I think this one will do too!

Christmas bakes kept fresh in style.

This steel cake tin in shutter blue, not only looks fantastic but has no seam inside for those reckless crumbs! But it does not stop there, it is a really, really sturdy tin and the seal on it is excellent making sure your lovely baked goods stay fresh for a good time. Of course it say’s Cake on it but the rebel in me may use it for biscuits or tarts too! It has the most fantastic retro feel about it, which although in fashion now I think this tin will look stylish when retro is no longer the thing. It’s powdered coated steel so will last and be loved for a long time, everything about it I love and on my list is to get the Biscuit tin to match it to control the inner rebel in me! It is a great size and at £22 I think it is a great investment for your baking.

Carry your cakes in style!

Now of course you can transport your cakes in this tin but if you are taking a Christmas cake or Christmas baking to friends and family this Christmas, then how about this Cake Boss Metal Carrier

This cake carrier has an easy and strong latch system to open and close it.

It is again stylish with a retro feel to it, incredibly well made, easy to use and large enough to carry a 9″ layer cake or gateaux anywhere. I am think any Clandestine Cake Club member would totally love one of these for Christmas! I do not belong to such an exclusive club but do go to a baking club which this Friday I shall indeed be taking my goodies in style. What I love about this too as I show mine with cupcakes is for individual cakes you can just carry and serve on the cake carrier’s bottom tray. For big cakes you would not want to cut them on the tray The base which is not slippery so though I only carried my cakes around the house for a walk (yes they enjoyed the tour!) the cakes stayed in place even cupcakes. Obviously this cake carrier is designed for big cakes really so small cakes knocking into one another is not really an issue but the fact was in my little test they were perfectly happy!

12 cupcakes all had a safe journey in this carrier!

This also could be use storage for a certain time. Obviously with its higher than average height for a cake tin there is more air so storage for freshness will not be as long.

I love the colours and design on these Joules tins.

These two were my top two picks for storing and transporting  cakes, bakes and biscuits  but Sizzle has a whole range of other gorgeous cake tins. I love this set of three Joules tins.

Another retro feeling storage tin for your savoury biscuits.

For your savoury biscuit and mine always end up in a plastic container I love this Cream Cracker tin

Of course Sizzle has so much more than cake storage so do check their website out Sizzle where you will also find a great Christmas gift selection, if like me you are not one of the ‘organised one’s’ where Sizzle has some great sections like ‘Health Nut’ and ‘Budding Baker’ to make your gift choosing easier to find that perfect gift!

With free delivery on order over £29 and in a one hour slot or it is free if you attached an order from Sizzle to an order you are doing with Ocado which to me sounds perfect. No waiting in all day for the off-chance of your order to arrive, perfect!

I was sent the cake tin and cake carrier for review, thank you Precious. All my opinions are my own. I know I loved these products and what Sizzle has to offer and I am sure you will too.
