One of the great things about living where we do now is the wonderful train. In fact one of the reasons we chose this smaller town above others in the area we wanted to be near to, when we relocated from Cornwall was living near a mainline station.

I can be in lots of places fairly quickly especially now I have got over my train door problems! Places I know very well like Bath, places I like to get to know better like Bristol and to the slightly daunting but very exciting one London! Just an hour and 20 sometimes less will get me into London. Everyone accept me has been there since we moved but I am looking forward to going. The last time I was there was the day before the King Cross fire, yes a long time ago! So I do have a weird and long-lasting negative connection to London which I really need to lose!

So anyway we are drawing up a list of things we like to see and do in London. There does seem to be lots and lots to see and do but of course London is expensive and visiting some things will see you kissing goodbye to money a little too quickly. So it is always worth looking for money off deals to make your money go further. Of course there is London Bridge, Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge, The London Eye all things worth seeing even if you only get to get a glance from the outside. The National History Museum is free of course and I am told fantastic. Oscar and Cam, my husband went in the half-term and had a great day! I think on Bex and my list you will find going to a show. A musical or something heavily dance orientated would be great! Again we will look out for discounts! Oscar I think would particularly like Ripley’s Believe it or Not. Step off the streets of London into a world of bizarre, interesting and rather absurd things with its huge collection of over 700 artefacts from across the world. It also has lots of interactive things to do as well, which is always a hit with children, small, medium and big *read as adults! Save money with Ripleys believe it or not London voucher

Though of course London has got to say to those that like to shop, shopping! I think you are likely to find me leisurely wandering around the markets enjoying the atmosphere than in Selfridges or Harrods but a visit to London really needs the company of a couple of shopping bags on the way home, doesn’t it?

With the thought of some shopping bags I am sure I can get over my slightly daunted feeling of London, don’t you?
