The crystal clear waters also has reefs and shipwrecks that make the island a premier location for snorkeling and scuba diving.

Additionally, Palawan is also renowned for its underground river running five-mile long and houses prominent limestone caverns. Puerto Princesa underground river also has notable marine life and coral reefs, which makes the tour in the island more memorable.

What makes the island’s ranking more special is that the travel magazine named two more locations in the Philippines as world’s best islands. One is Boracay, a popular tourist spot in the country for its fine, white sand beach. The island notched a score of 90.47 and ranked second after Palawan. Another voter commented that Boracay is a natural treasure. It has a wide array of tropical destinations along with accommodations that suit every client’s interest and budget. One of its prominent accommodations is the Shangri-La Boracay Resort, which Travel and Leisure named as the top eighth resort hotels in Southeast Asia. This hotel is known for offering luxurious living while visitors are enjoying the lovely tourist destination.
