We had a wonderful Easter celebration with our family! We alternate being home and going to Kurt's parents' for Easter each year, so this year was a "home" year. It's fun to have two different sets of traditions!

Our festivities actually started on Friday evening. We went to our Good Friday service at church (which I LOVE) and then had dinner with my parents and sister. It was a good way to start off the weekend, contemplating Christ's sacrifice for us and really dwelling on the weight of what happened on the Cross.

Saturday morning, we celebrated with Easter baskets! We always do them on Saturday morning so Sunday isn't as chaotic. I grew up doing it this way (because Easter Sunday morning for our family was CRAZY), and we've just kind of gotten into that routine.

Another secret that makes things a lot easier: We take our pictures on Saturday! That way we only have to snap one family picture on Easter Sunday and the kids have already posed and are done. :) It's life changing, I tell you!

I'm so proud of my little three. They are so precious to us!

I also pushed my luck and tried to get individual pictures of the kids. I'm so glad I did - these are the cutest shots!

After our picture extravaganza, we loaded up and went to my parents' to hunt eggs! Kay Kay was there to help, too. :)

This is my favorite picture of Liam that I've taken to date. Look at that proud little expression!

We made sure to FaceTime my brother and sister so they could join the fun. Lynley LOVES to FaceTime and just thinks it's the neatest thing!

Easter pajamas and time for bed after a busy day!

On Easter Sunday, we went to church and had a wonderful service! Kurt sang with a group of guys and it was so good! We snapped our family picture once we got home. :)

We hosted my family for lunch and had a great time! I bought Easter crackers from Williams Sonoma (just like Christmas crackers) and we had a lot of fun with them!

Lynley Adele. I need to dedicate a whole post to this girl and her mannerisms. She is something else! We are constantly laughing at her antics - she's so different from Evy and Liam in her own little ways. Right now she's OBSESSED (and I really do mean that) with all things glasses/sunglasses. She wears a pair of goggles everywhere (even to church on Sunday morning) and she LOVES to sit and go through catalogs just to find people wearing sunglasses. It's the funniest thing! That's just one example of this little toot's personality, and we love it!

I just love this picture of Liam. For some reason it just screams "little boy" to me! :)

Easter Sunday evening, some friends invited us over to their house for pizza and an egg hunt! It was such a cute little group of Easter egg hunters!

This was Lynley's first year to really understand hunting eggs (and I use the word "understand" loosely), and she loved it! She got some practice in at Papa and Gigi's house, so by the time this egg hunt rolled around, she was ready!

It was such a fun weekend celebrating the Resurrection and new life in Christ!
