One thing that I never learned how to do-I failed home ec in high school :( was sew. I still have not given up hope & think about taking a sewing class every now & again but then get sidetracked. Plus with all the cool products out there like stitchwitchery & fabric glue, not to mention my favorite hot glue gun, I am still able to make projects without sewing. I admit the projects would look better sewn, but I do what I can :) When I was cleaning out my daughter's old bedroom I found about 812 tote bags in her closet. Now, while tote bags are great-no one needs 812! I decided to make a few into throw pillows as you can always use more throw pillows! I found a cool New York City graphics bag that is perfect for Amanda's room:
Then I found a cool sweater tote that makes a cute little addition to my rocking chair for the winter:
Then I hit my stash of fabric from Stampin' Up! & made a rosette on a plain canvas bag.
Here is one I did for Valentine's Day last year from a plain tote bag:
I simply stenciled a square of muslin & used fabric glue to attach it to the bag. I added a little fabric flower to the corner. Quick & easy project!
