In the heart of Barrhaven lies a gorgeous low-rise condominium apartment building surrounded by green space, schools and public transportation.

Campanale Homes’ newest luxury condo, The Station, is the centrepiece of their Longfields development site and occupancy has just begun. Located between Greenbank and Woodroffe, the Longfields Station community was built on the vision that every resident should benefit from access to public transit. Less than a block away, nearby residents can take an OC Transpo route 95 and arrive downtown within 40 minutes.

Overlooking acres of expansive green space, South Nepean Park, The Station is an affordable and functionally designed condo building with luxurious one and two-bedroom suites. It features an elevator, heated underground parking and an abundance of energy efficient elements. Influenced by modern style, the stone, stucco and brick exterior is symmetrical and features clean lines with lots of windows.

Campanale Homes: The Station’s exterior is made up of stucco, stone and brick and features a modern design.

“The Station is an extremely well insulated and airtight building and new homeowners have commented that their heating systems rarely turn on,” says Maureen Demers, Campanale’s Construction and Operations Manager. “As a result, residents will reap the benefits of low utility costs.”

Campanale Homes began with Phase I, which was comprised of townhomes, condo flats and two-bedroom Urban Terrace Homes, which are currently for sale starting from $214,900. Once complete, the Longfields site will become a community in which residents have access to commercial services, parks and recreational areas and shared sitting areas within a short walking distance.

The first floor of The Station holds seven commercial spaces. New homeowners in the area will have easy access to the Campanale Sales Centre, Longfields Dental, Active Health Institute, Precision Medical Centre, Longfields Pharmacy and Juluca’s Bistro Café. The seventh space and last space is currently available for lease through Campanale’s Management. Santana Campanale, Director of Sales and one of the seven second generation Campanale family members in the company, says that the community is excited to have so much within walking distance of their new homes: “the commercial businesses on the main floor not only compliment The Station but also [the] entire Longfields Station community.”

When entering The Station, homeowners can see that the Campanale Team has had every detail attended to. From the glass tables by the stainless steel elevator doors to the accent wall dressed in wallpaper depicting great buildings and monuments in the lobby’s seating area, nothing has been missed. Continue upstairs and you’ll encounter light gray walls and warm wood trim around tenants’ doors. Each apartment number is hung like a plaque: metallic numbers stand strong atop a wooden base and a little light shines directly on them from above. The dimmed overhead lights and the soothing natural colours make both guests and homeowners feel as if they’re entering a high-end hotel in New York City.

Inside, the open-concept units are spacious and flooded with light. Each one and two-bedroom suite comes with upgraded standard features such as engineered hardwood flooring, stylish ceramic tiles, smooth 9-foot ceilings throughout, stainless steel kitchen appliances, washer and dryer, granite countertops, meticulously crafted kitchen backsplashes and central air conditioning. Residents also have access to their own storage lockers which are conveniently located in the heated underground parking garage. With the exception of the Traveler, all units have spacious balconies and one model, the Crusader, even has two — the unit’s Master bedroom has exclusive access to the additional balcony.

The Station features large, spacious bedrooms with gorgeous views and an abundance of natural light.

What’s particularly interesting about all of the suites at The Station is their designs: none of them are the same. In the kitchens, all of the backsplashes, countertops, cupboards and hardware have been selected to match the designer’s theme. One unit may have silver hardware, a white ceramic backsplash and dark cupboards and countertops while another may feature golden hardware, a white countertop with gold flecks, light gray cupboards and a ceramic and glass backsplash with beige, white and clear tiles. Some floor plans include flexible spaces that can be used as offices, dens or formal dining rooms. And the last available North Star suite, the largest two-bedroom unit, has a long entryway which features a hall closet with mirrored doors. It sits across from a window and bounces light and little rainbows in every direction.

“Our goal was to make each unit feel like a custom high-end condominium. To start, we focused on making the layouts very functional so even the smaller condos feel luxurious. At the finishing stage, each and every unit was uniquely designed, with its own style, colour scheme and ‘wow factor’. In the end, no two condos look the same, and every buyer can find a one that feels like home for them,” says Campanale Homes Designer Heather Moro.
