While only enjoyable with your left ear, Australian anime publisher Hanabee Entertainment have today hosted their seventh weekly livestream. Despite bringing a number of discussion points to the table including the winners of the Hanabee Haiku Competition, new stock on the RT store, a Q&A and more – what I am sure many were waiting for was to find out what anime acquisition they had to announce.

Around the seventeen minute mark, Cameron cut to a video clip announcing that they have acquired the rights to animated film compilation Short Peace. Surprisingly this is not the first time the series has been released in Australia, originally included as an extra feature in Bandai Namco’s PlayStation 3 release of Short Peace: Ranko Tsukigime’s Longest Day. However I assume it will also come with the English dub that Sentai Filmworks commissioned for the North American release. Short Peace is being screened at various Japanese Film Festival’s across Australia, and will receive a physical release at a later date.

In other exciting news, Patema Inverted has also been confirmed for a DVD and Blu-ray release in December 2014! This follows earlier screenings exclusive to the Melbourne International Film Festival earlier this year.
