A large group of West Michigan employers have been named among the nation’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For.
The National Association of Business Resources, or NABR, on Dec. 16 announced its list of the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For, and 62 employers in the region are on the list.
Worksighted, a Holland-based IT firm, is one of the companies that won the honor. This is its second consecutive year winning the national award. It also has won the regional West Michigan award five times.
“It’s awesome to be nationally recognized for our commitment to being a great place to work,” said Mike Harris, co-founder, Worksighted. “Our team is full of hardworking, talented people, who deserve the best from their employer. It’s our privilege to provide that for them at Worksighted.”
NABR evaluates employers based on 20 key measures in various categories, including employee benefits, recruitment process, development and treatment of employees and overall strategic company performance.
Marci Branderhorst, Worksighted director of human resources and finance, said winning the award two years running is an “awesome” accomplishment.
“We work extremely hard to create a culture that rewards innovation and creativity, and this type of recognition on the national level speaks volumes about the environment we are creating for our employees and the business we are building as a team,” Branderhorst said.
Grand Rapids-based Michigan Office Solutions, or MOS, was also named one of the nation’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For. MOS was previously named one of the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in West Michigan and metro Detroit, as well as one of the Best and Brightest Sustainable Companies.
“I could not be more proud of our employees who make MOS a great place to work,” said Ralph Slider, president, MOS. “To be honored nationally solidifies our belief that it isn’t just about the work. It’s about how we all work together.
“This award validates the MOS business objective of hiring local talent and providing a culture that will allow each individual to develop their skills, knowledge and expertise, which translates to a world-class customer service experience for our clients.”
NABR fosters a collaborative environment where employers and leaders learn best practices, trends and vital information that benefit the employer and its employees, well beyond finances. Through its Best and Brightest programs, NABR provides specialized business services, education and resources for employers throughout the country.
