The groundhog has come and gone and seen his shadow ... maybe. Spring is on the horizon!

Will you be ready to set a pretty table for holiday meals, parties or family celebrations?

Today in the Cleaning Grand Plan Challenge, it's time to make a tabletop check. Be ready to celebrate in your organized dining room!

Today's Assignment:
Tabletop Check

Preparing a holiday meal can be busy and stressful--and Easter morning is no time to realize that your best tabletop is still stained with December's cranberry sauce.

Yesterday, we decluttered table linens. Today, we'll make a quick tabletop check of all other items you need to serve a holiday meal.

Did yesterday's evaluation of table linens reveal tablecloths with stains or holes. Did a holiday guest leave the imprint of her lipstick on the formal napkins? Note any needed replacements on the shopping list, and escort the offenders to the laundry room for further treatment.

In the kitchen or sideboard, check on serving dishes. Will you be able to serve the Easter ham in style? Make sure you have plenty of serving pieces and silverware for family parties.

What about Spring holiday decor? If you'll need candles, a floral centerpiece or napkin rings, add them to the shopping list and keep your eyes peeled for pre-season sales.

You'll be ready to welcome Spring holidays ... and birthdays, graduations and June wedding parties, too!
