He has tried to follow the same path that brought Justin Bieber to stardom, but it seems like Austin Mahone is trying to take the comparison to the troubled star one step further.
The recently turned 18-year-old star was spotted arriving at LAX in Los Angeles on Thursday wearing an outfit reminiscent of the Beauty And The Beat singer.
However, the similarities ended as Austin was seen gliding through crowds with ease at the airport, while Justin found himself detained by customs. As if there already weren’t enough comparisons between the two, Austin donned a pair of leather trousers which is a look Justin, 20, has been seen in more often than not. Adding to the “copycat” comparisons, Austin donned a pair of red sneakers, which the “Believe” singer also likes to team with his choice of bottoms.
One thing Austin added to the ensemble was a T-shirt elongated at the bottom with red leather and gold zippers on the sides which resembled a skirt.
The “Mmm Yeah” singer completed the look with a black knit cap on his head, small silver chain, and a multi-colored backpack strapped to his shoulders.
Austin was kind to some of his “Mahomies” that happened to be at the international traveling hub as he greeted his fans and even stopped to pose for a selfie with one.
Despite the assumed rivalry between him and Justin, the two seem have a good rapport with one another as Austin even joined the “Baby” singer’s large crew for a sophisticated meal of sushi at exclusive restaurant Nobu just hours before his 18th birthday earlier this month.
The two share more than just a similar style, same music market, and five of six letters in their first name: they both have been linked romantically to Selena Gomez.
