Still going strong.

Comment from Teggy :

I had to go back home to PA for the summer but miss seeing the band so got my fix with the videos, not the same as being there. Can't wait to come to the Hut and see it open. Don't let Tommy kill himself working on it before I get back in Sept.

Comment from Sean:

hey, Just wanting to know if this is still running. We're in Bonita Springs for a bit, and were thinking of coming up. Also, my daughter plays country and was wondering if that is ok, or does that suit the LJ place better (is that still going)?

Comment from R. Burton:

Running every Wednesday now for almost ten years… so well that the bar has extended to another open mic on Sundays from 3-6 p.m. Check their web site.Lots of snowbirds/players have been showing up which justifiably limits the time each can play but its still great to listen.

Comment from R Burton:

I saw Fred the next night at LJ's. Buckingham now begins at 8 p.m. and shuts down at 11. Indeed it was a slow night overall but at 10 p.m. there were 8 people on stage… guitars, bass, keyboard, sax, trumpet, harp, and of course drums. Some nights are diamonds… some are down home blues

Comment from Fred Bement:

Showed up at 11:45 PM, there was equipment on the stage and about 6 guys sitting at the bar. I think this one tuckered out early. Also, I tried to call in advance to see what was happening… nobody answered the phone.

Not fun like used to be and not worth the drive

Comment from Semi-Anonymous, Agreeing With Himself:

Time for new ownership

Comment from Anonymous:

Still the best

Comment from Kenny Graves:

We are from Qc.Canada. Went to Buckinghams for the first time Oct.27 for the open mike night. Liked it so much we went again Nov.3rd. The guitar player Rex just blew us away and he sings just as good. The owner is also a good singer but these guys had a blast and so did we. Thanks Buckinghams!

This jam is still going stronger than ever

Comment from Chuck:

Starting October 28th we will start at 8pm instead of 9pm

Comment from anonymous:

Yes, this jam is still going strong and last week was a packed house of mostly audience.

Comment from Josie:

Do you still do Open Mike Night? I have a meetup group and I think this would be a pretty cool event to attend.

Comment from anonymous:

This jam is still going strong and generally has a packed house of listeners.

Comment from Chuck:

Some of the venue has been changed for the better. I will be back.

Comment from john:

I challenge anyone to find a better Open Mike Night than Wednesdays at the Buckhingham Bar. (9pm til 12 pm +) It is a great place for people who love to listen and those who love to play. The music is mostly blues with some light rock and country. All are invited on stage to play with or take the place of various house band members. The sound system is awesome. Bring your instrument and/or voice and get ready to have a great time. PS. Don't be intimidated by the outside… it is a very friendly place for all.

Comment from david bynoe:

Came down from Taos, New Mexico and played bass with the blues band and will never forget what a memorable night with fantastic musicians and welcoming locals. Look forward to playing there in about a month when we arrive to Ft. Myers Beach in January 08 and love the area so much that my wife and I plan on moving there. Appreciated so much the warmth of the glow of the conversations and the oak fire burning under the pines. See you soon. David and Karen

Comment from Chuck:

We now play any and everything including "Dead Flowers". We also have an awesome horn section with usually 2 trumpets including me and usually one or more sax players. It would be nice to have a trombonist. Actually all instruments are welcome. There is always a drum set set up. Please bring your own guitars.

Comment from Chuck:

What can I say? I had not played there for a good while and wow am I ever glad I came back! I play trumpet and the night I was there, there was another trumpet player whom I had played with years ago. We had such a blast and if you want to have a really good time check it out! I have even heard there are sax players there and it would be real nice to have a trombonist. The audience is very appreciative too. It is very magical playing music there and we did not do just blues either. Fun,fun, fun

Comment from Flaco:

You open to old Byrds Sweetheart of the Rodeo, Hank Williams III, and just good ol' Driftin' too far from the Shore, Tramp on Your Street, Dead Flowers, Don't Miss Your Water til Your Well Runs Dry, Baby Caught the KT, Knockin' on Heaven's Door, etc. ?
