Holabird & Root’s Chicago Board of Trade Building contains other rooms rarely seen by visitors. The beautiful art deco Board Room in a 5th floor corridor once hosted meetings for CBOT’s Board of Directors and other committees, just feet away from one of the busiest trading floors in the world. Used from the building’s opening in 1930 until 1989, the room features wood-paneled walls and original light fixtures.
**Behind the Scenes Access:** Peek inside the 5th floor Board Room. (The basement vault will be open to all Open House Chicago visitors.)
