Before we get into the amazing display of effortlessly chic fashions worn by Joan Watson (Lucy Liu) in last night’s return of Elementary (Season 2, Episode 1, “Step Nine“), let’s take a moment to recall the suggestive exchange Joan had with her male counterpart (Jonny Lee Miller) after he insisted his brother (Rhys Ifans) was going to try to sleep with her.

“You can’t go to bed with me,” Sherlock said pointedly. “We’re business partners, and you’re my former sober companion, but you can sleep with a cheap knockoff version of me. And that is Mycroft.”

I don’t know about you guys, but I was certainly blushing during this entire scene. Not only because it was pretty funny (I love hearing someone’s sibling being compared to a Louis Vuitton bag found on the streets of Chinatown: a “cheap knockoff version”), but also because it’s now clear that the detective has actually thought about his partner in bed.

What did you guys think of that scene?
