15th Annual Festival of Chairs supporting Children’s Advocacy Alliance – Conway

The Children’s Advocacy Alliance oversees both the Central Arkansas Children’s Advocacy Center and the CASA 20th Judicial District program. This signature event, in which local artists transform neglected chairs into works of art for auction, celebrates its 15th year. A Conway favorite, attracting 500 attendees, the Festival of Chairs offers a sampler of foods from area restaurants, extensive live and silent auction items, a raffle of a fabulous diamond cocktail ring and great music.

Murder and Mayhem Haunted Trolley Tour – Fort Smith

The popular Murder and Mayhem Haunted Trolley Tour features haunted and gruesome stories from years past. Begin the evening with complimentary Halloween treats, drinks, and ghost stories along with a peek at haunted areas of the Fort Smith Museum of History. As the trolley winds its way through the Downtown Fort Smith, the Belle Grove Historic District and other areas of the city, riders are thrilled with gruesome historic facts and eerie local legends. Real haunted houses are pointed out and their dark secrets revealed. Murder stories are related along with the story of a bloody love triangle. The narrative is as colorful as Fort Smith’s past. This event is for ages 21 and older and reservations are required.

Arktoberfest – Arkadelphia

Arktoberfest celebrates two things Arkansas does great: craft beer and catfish! Brewers and homebrewers from across the state compete for cash and bragging rights while amateur and professional cooks battle it out to see who makes the best catfish.
