Company has opportunities for Maintenance Mechanics its plastic manufacturing plant in E. Brunswick, NJ. It is a leading global supplier of industrial packaging solutions, manufacturing a variety of plastic, steel and fiber containers for a diverse customer base spanning industries including oil & gas, food & beverage, pharmaceutical and chemical, amongst others. It is experiencing significant growth – both organically as well as through acquisition – therefore the opportunities for successful individuals can be significant. At this time, company is in need of a Expert Level Maintenance Mechanic/Project Engineer who will report to the Director of Manufacturing Engineering. The Project Engineer serves both administrative and technical functions. The administrative functions include organization and maintenance project documentation, drawing and design databases, as well as project schedule management. The technical functions include design and troubleshooting of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, continuous improvement and project budgetary considerations

Main Position Responsibilities:
•Act as technical lead in design, installation, troubleshooting and upgrades of equipment and processes.
•Manage Engineering and Plant Maintenance Projects to achieve desired results and conclude within agreed budget and timeline.
•Manage and perform physical installation of equipment during moves and upgrades.
•Assist Maintenance in identifying and resolving problems.
•Investigate equipment failures/faulty operations with improvement recommendations.
•Continuously seek opportunities to improve equipment performance and operations.
•Various other duties as assigned.
Key Attributes / Behaviors
•Must have a minimum of 5 years prior Plant or Project Engineering experience.
•Must have basic drafting experience using drawing programs and prior project management experience.
•Must be able to read, write and speak English. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
•Must be able to design and troubleshoot using PLCs
•Must be able to troubleshoot hydraulics, electrical, pneumatic using schematics, prints and diagrams
•Mechanical Engineering or Technical degree a plus
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions
•Ability to stand, crouch and climb to perform certain duties.
•While performing the duties of this job, the individual is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Job Insight:
• Looking for a high-end maintenance mechanic. Must be the go to person for any maintenance related issues.
• Must have strong experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, blue prints, programming PLCs, electrical experience, etc.
• Will work with plant managers
• Will make recommendations on how to integrate new equipment and machines into the plant
• Experience in plastics companies, blow molding, injection molding etc.
