Ive been working online since: I started my business as a virtual assistant business specializing in bookkeeping in 2006. Doing most of the work myself but adding team members, as needed, to provide the best service I could. Soon, I learned that I really enjoyed working with team members, setting up systems, and most importantly keep things MOVING and getting projects COMPLETED. This put me on the path of “how can I work as a manager for other online business owners and let them know that I am qualified to help them grow their business.” Quickly, I found Tina Forsyth’s Online Business Manager™ certification training. I went through the training and a rigorous certification week and received my Online Business Manager™ certification.
Why I love working as an OBM: I want my clients to succeed and efficiency is key–creating systems and processes, online tools, building and managing a successful team, launching projects/products are all expenses to the entrepreneur–but create profit if they are managed correctly. As an AIPB Certified Bookkeeper and QuickBooks ProAdvisor, I know that numbers matter. Accounting and metrics are always in the back of my mind when I work with any business owner.
My Strengths and Areas of Specialty: Operations and team management, making that core of the business run smoothly and efficiently, are my strengths that my clients comment on the most. Keeping everyone on track. Taking on a project that they have been struggling with and completing it. Automating everything that can be automated without losing that personal touch with the customer. Implementing user-friendly systems and processes. Taking the client’s brainstorming and breaking it down into logical steps to create an actual project/product/service.
My favorite kind of client to work with is…: Established business owners that are ready to grow and want to invest in their growth. Start-ups with a healthy capital. I am particularly passionate about start-ups, tech, and natural health businesses. Equally important is a good personality fit for a successful long-term partnership.
