I am a huge fan of Mabel Labels and have been purchasing them since my children were infants.  Now that they are both spending the week away at overnight camp this year, what better way to keep track of their stuff with labels.  I even place a label on the sleeping bag tag!  This year they get labels with their own names, sometimes I just opt for labels with our last name!  I was amazed at how bright and vibrant the colors were on the labels.  They surely won't be misplacing items this year!

Helpful information on picking a camp for your child!
Knowing which camp is the right one to send your child to can be a hard decision to make. Parents have to worry about the camp’s reputation, if it encompasses activities that interest their children and most importantly if the experience will help children grow and learn new skills.

Think of where the preferred activities are normally held. Your kid loves to act? Check out local theatre companies. Into science? Try a university engineering department. Lurk on camp chat boards (many of the larger camp websites have them) or better still, post a question or three.

If you or your child is nervous about heading to summer camp for the first time, start small. Sign up for a a day camp for a few days to start and if your child enjoys the experience, plan for a longer experience next summer.

There are countless things that will sway your choice when it comes to selecting a camp, but ultimately, the only wrong choice you can make is one which doesn’t consider the uniqueness of your child!
