Things are starting to slow down in recruiting as preparation for football practices has begun. However, since our last update we've had a few commits come off the board.
On July 2nd Notre Dame picked up its third receiver commit as (IL) Miles Boykin .920 pledged to the blue and gold. He is now the highest rated Irish receiver in our class as well as the 5th highest rated overall recruit for Notre Dame.
Before I make my announcement I want to thank all the coaches who have given me a chance and the people who have supported me but....

Late last week the Georgia Bulldogs went into New Orleans and pulled (LA) Michael Chigbu .904 from Holy Cross High School. He had recently visited Athens and liked the fit with the Dawgs.
A while back we mentioned that (TX) A.D. Miller .847 might be interested in Notre Dame with the recent connections the Irish have built at Bishop Dunne High School. However, when Miller made a trip up north he never visited South Bend and on July 5th he pledged to the University of Illinois.
One of the receivers still in the hunt by Notre Dame was Ryan Newsome but a couple weeks ago he eliminated Notre Dame. Newsome likely saw the writing on the wall with C.J. Sanders after watching the Irish commit up close and personal at The Opening.
As we reported yesterday, 4-star WR Ryan Newsome (@NewBoi17) eliminated #NotreDame. Complete details here: http://t.co/d4f7TY7xg8 (VIP)

We are close to dropping K.J. Hill down to Cold, but not just yet. He recently came out with his official visit list and Notre Dame made the cut. We'll see if he follows through on that list.
5 schools KJ Hill will take his official too. THIS IS IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER!!! 1.Ohio State 2.Florida 3.Notre Dame 4.Alabama 5.Arkansas

Riverside, California's Ykili Ross is still listed as a Composite receiver although he is being recruited by Notre Dame as an athlete who'll get his first shot at corner. He visited Notre Dame in early July and things apparently went very, very well. He'll return for an official visit and really seems to like what the Irish have to offer.
For now we'll drop Cordell Broadus down to Cold. He's yet to visit campus even though he's planning on taking an official visit after his senior season. There just isn't enough momentum with him right now to keep him at a higher temperature.
Equanimeous St. Brown remains the best bet for Notre Dame's 4th and last receiver slot that they are trying to fill for this cycle.

S/O to Servite WR @Equanimeous St. Brown who put on a solid performance @TheOpening2014 helping #TeamApocalypse win the 7on7 championship
— Servite Athletics (@ServiteSports) July 11, 2014
He attended The Opening (he's the player with the football) and scored a touchdown in the 7-on-7 finals to help his team to the championship. Right now it looks like a Notre Dame, UCLA, USC, and Stanford race with the Irish the only team scheduled for an official visit.

Same update as always for tight end where only 5 offers have been handed out and just 2 players remain uncommitted.
As we mentioned a couple months ago the Irish coaching staff is not giving up on UCLA commit (NV) Alize Jones .974 who is the top tight end in the country. There hasn't been any new news since then but if you recall he's thinking about visiting Notre Dame and/or USC in the future.

Only 4 offensive linemen remain uncommitted out of the 12 offers handed out. As of today Notre Dame is sitting pretty and content with Jerry Tillery, Trevor Ruhland, and Tristen Hoge as members of the 2015 class.
Both Tillery and Hoge participated in The Opening earlier in the month.

One last note. While Tillery continues to flirt with LSU and is feeling pressure from his family to stay in-state the same does not appear to be true for Hoge who looks to be about as committed as possible for a senior-to-be.
