I love any craft that has to do with yarn, particularly knitting and crochet. When I got the opportunity to review the Nova Cubics Platina Interchangeable Circular Needles Set from Knitter’s Pride, I was thrilled! When I decided to teach myself how to knit back in October 2014, I didn’t have any knitting needles on hand, so I grabbed a pair of bamboo kitchen skewers, an odd roll of yarn, and pulled up YouTube to begin my lessons. While the bamboo skewers worked, they wouldn’t be right for any project I had in mind. After asking around, I was able to borrow a set of fixed circular needles from a friend and that’s when I decided I needed to add circular knitting needles to my crafting arsenal. My only issue was, which size should I get first? The Nova Cubics Platina Interchangeable Circular Needles Set solves that question.
When I first received my Nova Cubics Platina set, my first thought was how pretty they looked. The Chrome plated needles are sleek and the sizes are printed nice and clearly right on the front of each one. After opening the case and handling the needles, my imagination raced as I thought of all of the patterns and yarn just waiting to come to life on these beauties. Each lightweight needle tip is cuboid in shape with nicely tapered tips that helps make it easier to pick up stitches. This unique shape allows most knitters to ease their grip which lessens hand cramping that usually follows long periods of knitting. Since I tend to have a tighter tension to my stitches, I love how smoothly my stitches move on these needles in comparison with my regular knitting needles. It was also really easy for me to connect the cord to the needle tips, and I didn’t have to worry about the tips falling off when I used the cord key to tighten the connection. I would definitely recommend the Nova Cubics Platina Interchangeable Circular set to anyone who is in the market for new knitting needles.
