GeekVape Eagle Sub-Ohm Tank
The all new GeekVape Eagle Sub-Ohm Tank is the first Sub-Ohm Tank to come out of the GeekVape factory. Typically in the past GeekVape has only produced RTA’s (Rebuildable Tank Atomizer) and RDA’s (Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer). But in my opinion, this new Eagle tank is closer to an RTA than a Sub-Ohm Tank. Let me explain.
The Eagle features an all new coil/head design. These are the HBC (Hand Built Coils). (Fig:3). These are full-size decks with full-size advanced coils with cotton ready to rock. Just screw into place, fill with liquid and vape. In the past, the heads that were used in Sub-Ohm Tanks were minuscule, so the coils used were also tiny. But with this new HBC design size is no longer an issue.
So far you can choose from up to 20 different HBC coil designs like the famous Clapton, or more exotic builds like the Juggernaut coil or tiger coil. Because the HBC coil is so big they can now fit almost any coil design they want. Once your cotton gets too nasty, and it comes time for a new coil, no need to toss it out like before. All you have to do is take out the cotton wash everything off, dry burn and re-wick. You can rebuild these, but I wouldn’t expect to have one of these last forever. You will get a few rebuilds maybe more, but sooner or later the posts will get too loose or stripped. The quality of the posts and screws are not as strong as a traditional RTA or RDA deck. They aren’t designed to be continually rebuilt. But you definitely can.
Back to the actual tank. The Eagle comes in two versions. A top down version and a standard version. We will be talking about the top-down version for this article.
The airflow on the top-down version is well designed. You draw the air from just above the coils not way up in the upper decks like other BS topdown tanks. This is “the good vapor”. At the top, you have quad 5mm X 1.5mm three-way adjustable air inlets. Then around the base of the tank, you have the dual bottom cyclops air inlets measuring 14mm X 2mm that have five airflow settings. These bottom air channels feed to two ports directly under the coils.
The tank section on the top-down airflow version can hold up to 6ml of juice, a pretty decent amount for a Sub-Ohm Tank. You fill the tank with a simple top fill design.(Fig:2) You also get juice flow control with the Eagle tank. These are the four huge holes you see surrounding the HBC coils. These monsters will make sure your cotton stays nice and wicked.

To start out, the new Ultimo tanks claim to fame is their new coil. With improved juice ports and bigger airflow, these new coils vape amazingly well. Around the base of the head, you have four massive wicking ports that will help to make sure you never get a dry hit.(Fig:3)
Joyetech offers a few coil designs with this Sub-Ohm Tank. You can get an amazing ceramic coil said to be one of the best on the market. They also have the famous notch coil. That features a quick change design so you can quickly change out the cotton. Then you also have a traditional Clapton coil and an RTA deck that will allow you to build your coils.
The tank can hold up to 4ml of juice. The Ultimo features an easy to use top fill design that you just remove the top cap and dump the liquid into the tank via two massive filling holes.(Fig:2)
The airflow is led via two massive air inlets around the base of the Ultimo. These channels are adjustable by rotating the base for more or less airflow.

SMOK Minos Sub ohm Tank
Originally the SMOK Minos Sub-Ohm Tank was introduced along with the SMOK Micro one Starter kit. Now they are bringing it out as a standalone tank.
Primarily designed for flavor fanatics, the Minos features SMOKS new coil heads the 0.3Ω Minos-02 that runs 30-80W. They also have an RTA deck for those who just want to build their coils (Fig:3)
The tank section can hold 4ml of juice that is filled via a top fill design. (Fig:1) To get to the filling port, you just unscrew the top cap to expose the two large filling ports.
The airflow is fed via two huge cyclops air inlets. When compared to the TFV4 the Minos has 20% more airflow. (From SMOKS Site). The inlets are positioned around the base of the Minos that feeds air directly under the coils.

SMOK Micro TFV8 Sub-Ohm Tank
The SMOK TFV8 cloud Beast just came out, and the people love it. The TFV8 quickly became one of the most loved Sub-Ohm Tanks on the market. But SMOK had another trick. They had a Micro version in the mix, and this little guy is kind of cool.
To start the Micro TFV8 features two new coil packs. Or “Engines” as they like to call them. The first is the Micro V8-D Quad Core coil. And the other is the Micro V8-s Dual Core. The V8 part may be confusing because you would assume the V8 stood for eight coils. But that is not true, the Micro TFV8 comes with Quad and dual coil setups, still pretty good.
The tank section on the Micro TFV8 can hold up to 3ml of liquid versus the 5.5ml of liquid that its bigger brother can hold. You still fill the tank via the hinged door design like may of their tanks.
Everything from the air chamber, drip tip, and bottom air inlets have been redesigned to fit the new smaller size of the Micro. Because it’s so new SMOK doesn’t have much more info than this, but I hope to update this article when more info comes available

Aspire Atlantis Evo Sub-Ohm Tank
The new Aspire Atlantis Evo Sub-Ohm Tank is here and smaller than ever. You can get this in the popular starter kit or on its own. Compared to the Aspire Cleito tank the Evo is tiny. You don’t have a chimney of any kind. The coil acts as the chimney.
Being so small the tank section can only hold 2ml of juice. But it’s perfect for running to the store or even just having out around the house. Just make sure you have a bottle near. If 2ml isn’t big enough, you will be able to get a pyrex adapter that will change your tank to hold 4ml of liquid.(Fig:2)
The EVO is compatible with all the Atlantic coils. But these specific ones have double the wicking surface area and are lower giving them a better chance to suck up the last drop of juice. The coils themselves are Clapton coils and range from 0.4-.05 Ω. (Fig:1)
To fill the Atlantis Evo you just unscrew the top cap and dump in your liquid. You have no filling ports to try to fill; you just get a wide open hole. Just make sure not to put juice down the middle one. (Fig:3)
The airflow is control and fed by quad cyclops air inlets. These feed the air directly into the coil to produce amazing flavor.

Vaporesso is back again with their new Giant Dual Sub-Ohm Tank with an RTA deck that you can screw on and build your coils. This feature is becoming more popular, and I wouldn’t be surprised if before long RTA’s and Sub-Ohm Tank will merge into a single Atty.
The Giant Dual’s main claim to fame is the newest triple CCELL coil. (Fig:3) This coil features the same excellent ceramics that all the CCELL coils provide but says they are the first to bring triple coils to a ceramic head. This combination brings amazing flavor, vapor production, and wicking potential. Able to perform at up to 150W @ 0.15Ω. This will please many.
The tank is fitted with a pyrex glass section and can hold up to 4.5ml of liquid. Like many of their tank, you can fill the tank via the simple top fill design.
The airflow on the Giant Dual is massive. You get dual cyclops air inlets that flank both sides of the base. This feeds fresh air directly to the CCELL head.
Finally like we talked about before the reason for the name Dual is the added RTA deck that you can screw on and get a full RTA. This deck features excellent dual velocity posts. Each post has two terminals for connecting your leads.

The Kanger Pangu Sub-Ohm Tank has a unique idea when it comes to the Sub-Ohm heads, the drip tip and how to change them
For starters, let’s talk about this interesting take on the coils. You will see in (Fig:1) & (Fig:2). You can see how the coil is very long. In fact, the head reaches out past the top cap and ends up being the drip tip. So the head is the Coil, Chimney, and drip tip all in one. This produces great flavor because of the thin direct path the vapor has.
The other neat feature about the Pangu is how you change the coil. As you can see in (Fig:2) you can flip the tank upside down and nothing will spill as long as the liquid is below the marked line on the head. Once upside down you can simply unscrew the head and swap out a new one. With the tank still filled with liquid.
The tank can hold up to 3.5ml of liquid. You fill this by unscrewing the top section as seen in (Fig:1) and filling up the tank. Simple, very simple.
