Happy New Year! I am so glad to be starting off the year in this really fun $100 Room Challenge: Master Bedroom Edition. I am joining with some great blogging friends to share how we transform a room with only $100 dollars! We will be completing the challenge during January and I am hoping you stick around for all the reveals! My friend Erin from Lemons, Lavender, and Laundry has been doing this challenge for a while now and I think it is just so fun. With some thriftiness, you can really stretch $100!

So I really debated which room to do. We have a few rooms that definitely need $100 worth of work and some rooms that need a much higher budget! I finally decided on our master bedroom, which is definitely “okay” but since no one really sees it, it is definitely neglected. I decided to give it a little love and see what I can do with a limited budget! Our master bedroom is actually two bedrooms that have been turned into one room. If you are new around here, our house is over 100 years old and has a ton of original features, like the wood work, wood floors, some lighting fixtures, and some really unique details. For this challenge, I am going to focus on the sleeping part of our bedroom, unless I am somehow able to stretch the money to the other side!

So here’s what we have on the “sleeping” side of the room. My husband’s closet. Our bed. And two nightstands.

My main focus here are new nightstands and lamps. Ours are mismatched and the lamps are really old!

I would love to add more color to the bedding.

We took the curtains down last year when we had our first to get them cleaned and the ones behind the bed never came back up!

There’s also a tangle of cords beside my side of the bed that used to be nice and orderly and are now a mess.

I told you we had great original features, well the corner is a laundry chute! We actually don’t use it because clothes get stuck on a pipe in the chute and then someone has to climb in and pull them out! I would love to make this a more functional space.

So here are all the befores. I really am winging it here and don’t have a real plan so hopefully this room turns out alright!

Make sure to check out all my friends linking up below!
