I am so excited to be joining with a ton of my blogging friends to share my Christmas Home Tour 2016! Caroline from Simply Organized has gathered some amazing bloggers to share their spaces this year!

The name of my holiday decorating game this year is simple. I only put out items that I love. And actually, if I unpacked something from storage that I didn’t immediately love, I put it in a box for a future garage sale. The garage sale box is pretty big! This is a trend that I have been trying to implement in my home this year. Less clutter, less stuff, and only put out items I love.

With my more simple approach, I actually decorated less than in past years and kept the majority of our decorations to our dining room and foyer. The foyer houses our family tree. This tree has all of our keepsake ornaments from Hallmark, ornaments from various trips, and anything that we hold sentimental.

The tree skirt is new and is from Target. My old one was very busy and I love the much simpler white here with the pom poms. The village underneath is a favorite of my daughter and she sets it up every year.

Beside the tree is a table where I have some various Christmas knick knacks. The Joy Sign is new this year and I love it! It was a no question purchase from HomeGoods. I am doing my best to only buy items that I LOVE and this wooden sign definitely hit the mark!

Right beside our front entrance sits this little yellow bench with my four year old’s Christmas countdown.

The cute little red sweater basket houses all of our Christmas books.

The foyer is my favorite room in the house and I love it all decked out in Christmas decorations!

The kitchen bench got some Christmas pillows!

On to the dining room! This corner houses our extra dining chair and looks adorable with the truck pillow!

Besides the joy sign, this centerpiece was my other new Christmas decor purchase of the year and I love it! I think it will look beautiful on our table for years to come.

The dining room tree is MY tree! No homemade crafts here, just neutral, rustic ornaments! I love all the whimsical ribbon, beaded garland, and the Merry Christmas Banner!

This vignette in our dining room is one of my favorites.

I hope you enjoyed this peak into our Holiday Home! My biggest takeaway for you this year is to decorate with items that you love! Don’t hold on to decor items for sentimental reasons if you don’t love it! Keep it simple and you’ll be much happier with your holiday decor!
